Fighting Chinese Medicine
Before I became a mom, I thought I’ll feed my baby with chinese medicine like those people around me, especially my hubby’s side of family. It’s usual to see babies or kids taking “Keng Fong San”, “Hor Cho San”, “Qing Hor Yun” etc on regular basis.
After I read those treads from mymomsbest.com, I decided not to follow their footsteps. I really can’t see the difference in the children before and after taking the chinese medicine. Maybe I don’t believe the contains in them, and also the yok choy poh taukeh who acts like he’s the doctor.
Since Justin’s been coughing, and out of medicine now after taking for a few days, my MIL has been suggesting him of taking “Qing Hor Yun”. I’ve strongly rejected her idea, and stay at home most of the time to avoid him getting fed without my approval. I admit I’m very paranoid about this, and it seems like small matter only as lots of babies are taking tradisional pills. But I just don’t feel good about it.
Justin’s slowly recovering, that’s why I’m not bring him to see the paed to get some more medicine. I think his body needs time to recover. But I rather see him recovering slowly than taking some med which I don’t trust.
