I haven’t been to gynae’s clinic so frequent before. From last week, I had visited my gynae four times, just every 2 days. Of coz, first 3 times because can’t find my fetus (one of the times I went to other clinic), the forth happenned today. Gave myself a shock when I had a show last night, but it turned out harmless to my baby, so I don’t have to talk or think much about it. This is not what I’m gonna blog.
It’s just that I saw sooooo many pregnant women these days, I can’t help thinking are we women feel good about our pregnant looks? Well, during the last trimester, with a bulky tummy and big butt, it’s hard to be fashionable. Most women will just dressed in comfortable loose maternity dress, that’s what I saw during those visits.
I rememberred when I was pregnant with Justin, I asked my hubby does he think that I looked ugly? He said I was carrying a life in me, and assured me that I looked perfect. That time I was too excited with my first baby, I also didn’t care much about my look. In fact, I think I look good.
I’m not saying that pregnant women look ugly, but it’s the way we dressed ourselves during pregnancy which doesn’t show the beauty of being pregnant. After seeing those pregnant women, I have concluded that no matter how big my tummy will be or how much weight I’ll gain this time, I’ll make sure I look as good as possible. Here’s the plan:
1. Don’t wear maternity clothes too soon. I’ll look thru my closet and try to fit in my regular clothes as long as possible to look “young and fresh”. Even though I’m not young and fresh.
2. Get a nice pair of shoes.OMG, almost every pregnant woman wears sandals, and I’m not talking about classy fashionable types. They’re those sandals you’re wear to pasar malam, and very comfortable types. So, I just bought myself a pair of flat heel shoes, it’s pink!
3. Wear make up, if possible, when going out.Ok, with morning sickness, heartburns, lack of sleep (happenned to me), bigger face (got fat), the last thing on my mind is make up. I don’t use make up regularly, but I think in order not to scare people with my pale and “chan” look, at least put on some foundation. And trim my eyebrows!
4. Maintain good posture.I admit I waddled like a duck last time during last trimester. My friends said I walked differently, but I didn’t care much that time. This time, I’ll make sure not to walk with my legs open, feet facing out, and tug out my bump. Have to maintain good posture and walk normally. This is hard, I know. But hopefully I’ll make it.
5. Get nice maternity clothes. This will only happen if I have extra cash lah. Saw those nice clothes online, and gatal to get them. But I’ll stick to Step 1 first for as long as possible.
Well, anything elso to add? Mmmmm….
