Lilypie 4th Birthday TickerLilypie 3rd Birthday Ticker

February 20th, 2006 by shoppingmum

My gynae has finally made up his mind of buying a new 3D / 4D untrascan machine. So I don’t have to go to Penang or KL to do a thorough scanning. Actually, at 7 and a half months, it’s a bit to late to scan the baby thoroughly, even if there’s anything wrong with the baby, we’ll still have to accept him/her.

My main purpose of doing the 3D scan is to see the actual location of my placenta. Thank god my placenta has moved up a bit, and not blocking the birth canal. So, natural birth is possible at the moment. Besides that, I don’t have to worried so much about walking or standing for too long, which is not advisable for placenta previa. That really put a peace of mind in me. I’ve not been exercising thru out this pregnancy, so I better start walking to get my body prepared.

Too bad baby was not cooperating, and facing sideway during the scan. Can’t see her face at all. Well, all her major organs are developing well, and that’s really assuring to me, like most mothers-to-be. Carrying a baby in us really make us paranoic sometimes, wondering if the baby is doing well.

BTW, I’ve beginning to show Justin my tummy and telling him that he’s expecting a new baby at home. Not sure if he understands what I’m saying, but most of the time, he’ll pull down my shirt, covering up the tummy. When he sees some books and magazines showing pregnant ladies, he’ll point and babble. I’m not sure what’s he’s talking about, but I think he knows that I look like them now.

  1. don’t worry too much… I am sure your baby will be just fine :)

  2. I hope you and your baby will be fine… me too very anxious to do the 3D/4D scan , just wanna know the baby is in a good condition, I’ve had an experience of baby with gastrochisis in my first pregnancy but cant see it clearly last time coz at that time she doesnt have the machine… now am glad she has it… my baby was behaved when we do the 3D scan, showing his face…

  3. no worries…all will be fine :)

  4. Good that your placenta position is ok..

Justin probably is pointing to show you that lady in the picture looks like mummy.

It seems that now 3D/4D scan are getting more and more common huh?

  5. i envy u ;) i boy + 1 girl, what modern parents (such as myself) hope for …

  6. Can go to Dr. Diva in ISC. He’s my obs and he has the machine. No need to go to KL/Penang. It’s not expensive also. But as a new patient, u have to pay ISC the registration fee. The doctor charges RM50. Remember to bring a long a cd so that he can record ur session for u.

    Good luck.

  7. glad to hear that the placenta has moved up and away from the cervix.

3D/4D is very common now I think. I didn’t go for one though. Firstly because is not available at my OB/GYN. Have to go to special center for 3D/4D sonogram and their fee is $100 and up - depending on which package you want to get.

  8. Egghead, I’m more relax now, had been worrying for so long, need to ease my tense!

Ila de cute, wah, so good to be able to see your baby’s face! I’m so curious about how mine look like.

    Jazzmint, thanks! :)

Zara’s mama, yes it is. So for your next pregnancy, maybe you can try it out once, preferably during the beginning of 2nd trimester to check the baby’s development, and last trimester to check out his/her look, if baby’s gua gua showing lah.

    Daddy nick, it’s 50/50 percent, so I’m lucky lah…

Samm, I thought of going to him, but there’re 2 Dr Diva right?

Whoisbaby, 3D/4D is a personal choice. If your pregnancy is smooth, maybe it’s not necessary. You’re going to pop soon, can see baby’s face in real! :)

  9. I dont know about the other Diva. the one i visit, his clinic is near the canteen. From the back entrance, 2nd turning to your left. U can call ISC @ 2418777 and ask for ext 128, Dr. Divakaran. I cant remember the suite number, 38b i think. But u can ask.

Scan as early as possible, can see clearer. Hope this helps if u’re interested.
