What happened to TM Net?
Sh*t!!! It took me an hour to log on the net. There’s nothing wrong with my password, but just poor connection. Hubby is also complaining about it, and it’s been days!
Seriously, do I need Streamyx? I’m not on the net most of the time, that’s why I thought it’s a waste of money to get the blue hippo. TM called us a few times, asking us to get Streamyx, but hubby just thinks, thinks, and more thinking only. Maybe we don’t use the internet much, that’s why no action has been taken.
But now we can’t even log on to check our mailboxes!!! Don’t even mention about blogging.
Anyway, I’m not sure how much is Streamyx. Is it expensive? Very malas to go and enquire from TM. Mmm… Should surf their website for more info then.

Personally, if I don’t have Streamyx now, I’d rather not go online at home. After getting Streamyx, you’ll dread having dial up again. You could just get the rm68 per month one and buy your own modem or get the rm88 one which comes with a modem…

i got the rm88 one … my wife used to say why waste money on streamyx … until i got streamyx. Then she’s online most of the time ;)))

I just got streamyx few months back as I was so frusttrated with the dial-up speed.
The speeds for streamyx are so much faster, cost wise it wasn’t expensive afterall depends on what package you are using! I am using the RM44/60hours/mth package. (Self installation and without modem.) 60hours/mth is more than enough for me!
If compared to my dial-up tmnet bill, it is actually cheaper coz diap up are so slow that it take longer to upload/download and thus the tmnet bill plus the phone charges added up can be more than RM50.

Broadband or not broadband? The trend now is going broadband, but is it really needed in Malaysia? Unless u have family and friends at oversea, that could save u a lot of money by keep in touch via msn, skype, webcam sofware…etc,
Or you are addicted to sufing in the net, for person that have too many free time and too little life…(seem to be I talking about myself ha ha )
As just for the reason of because cannot connect to the net via modem, I think you have to re-think again. In malaysia we have no the other choise (unless u are living in KL) to subscribe to Telekom Malaysia for the broadband and normal 56k modem internet connection. They are both from the “shit” company service. Like mine parent home’s connection, it is sometime drop the broadband connection even though it should be “allow to connect 24h” in contract.
Anyhow, check how much you used every month for the modem connection, and also check how much time both of u spend in connection, there some cheaper alternative like Streamyx Basic 384k (RM20 for 10hrs)and Streamyx Basic 512k (RM44 for 60hrs) anyhow, you need to invest some money for the ADSL modem. And one more advise, if you plan to connect and download file for long time >maybe 1 day, I suggest you get a ADSL modem with build in router to proctect you PC from external attack.

I dread having the diap-up. I’m using Streamyx in my office and I’m oso using the RM44/60hours/mth package for my home’s PC. It’s so much faster (heehee, I’m a die-hard online fan unless I’m too busy). Go go go, get streamyx and u won’t regret it.

Yeah.. like what Maria said..
When streamyx is down.. I can bang my head and cry!
What are you using now to do blogging?
March 14th, 2006 at 11:25 pm
Haha… So far Streamyx has not disappointed me except surfing can be really slow during certain times of the day and my friends would complain about the snail- slow speed of files transfer over MSN.

i love streamyx…and I miss it so much, cause my current house doesn’t have telekom. I’m also using broadband, but another provider which is much slower…sob sob
