Quality Time with Gong Gong Po Po

I didn’t go back to Penang since Chinese New Year, and my dad had been calling me for the past weeks, asking if I’m going back with Justin. There’s only my brother and I and our parents in my family, so after we’ve got married, my parents live together by themselves. I know they’re pretty lonely sometimes.

So, last week my dad called again telling me he’s going to give us a treat at Tambun, and hoped we can be back on Saturday. Well, it’s only an excuse to see Justin lah, but I already planned to go back last weekend anyway.

Justin was very eager to see them too. When I told him we’re going back to Penang, he’s very obedient and be a good boy sitting on his car seat. Maybe he’s also excited that he only took a short nap when we’re about to reach Penang.

When we reached home, Justin was very happy to see gong gong and po po. Hubby and I didn’t even have to carry him for 2 days straight! He’ll just stick to them, even slept with them at night.

My mom bought him a Doeramon T-shirt, which supposed to be worn at home. But he likes it so much, he wanted to wear it for kai kai.

On Sunday, we went to Gurney Plaza after dinner as I’d like Justin to try on those kiddy ride. But we couldn’t find it! Last time we went the machines were on the third floor, now we’re not sure where they’ve been moved.

So Justin only can ride on those animals. It’s only RM3 and there’s a free balloon. He’s really happy riding it, and kept “singing” and drooling saliva! Can’t keep his mouth closed as he’s too happy smiling throughout the ride.

It was a great weekend for Justin. But when hubby and I were packing our bags when we’re about to leave on Monday morning, Justin didn’t want to be carried by my mom anymore. He clinged on to me, as if he’s worried that we might leave him there by himself. So, he didn’t fuss at all when we’re heading back to Ipoh.

Baby’s Name

Read Suzette‘s blog yesterday, and she’s gonna name her baby girl Isabel!!! Same as my new baby’s name, but I prefer this spelling — Isabelle. Twinsmom has a Isabelle too (besides Annabelle).

Imagine if one day all three of us meet and bringing our girls along. When we call “Isabelle” at the same time, 3 little princesses will be running towards their mommies! LOL!

“Isabelle” had been number one girl’s name on my list when I was expecting Justin. That time don’t know the gender, so hubby and I thought of some names that we like first for both genders. Then, after we found out that I’m expecting a boy, we decided to name him Brendan, but didn’t work out as hubby changed his mind later. Then we decided on naming him Justin.

This time around, it’s so easy. Right after we knew her gender, we already started calling her Isabelle. No need to think too much. As for Chinese character, I’d like to name her 雨晨, while hubby wants 宇晨. So, see if we change our minds or not.

BTW, before Isabelle is born, she already has a nickname given by Li Wei. He said her name sounds like “Ding Dong Bell, pussy in the well.” Or “Jingle Bell, Jingle Bell, Jingle all the way…”

Feeling Fat and Sakit Pinggang

I’ve reached the state of pregnancy where I began to feel like I’m a big whale waddling around like a duck. This time along, my tummy is smaller but I still feel “FAT”.

Some women will feel great about themselves, and embrace their changing bodies in a possible way. I used to feel like that too, until I feel the pain on my back! That’s because I’m still carring Justin, who’s still refuses to walk. My mom said he’ll only start walking when the baby comes, now he’ll take every opportunity to cling on to me. Well, maybe this is another old folk’s tale.

Since I can’t carry him in front of my tummy, I have to sit him on my waist at the side. And imagine my spine going S-shape, side-way to accommodate Justin, and back to accommodate my baby. Then have to walk with 10kg load of Justin and 10kg load of tummy, no wonder I’ll waddle like a duck! By the end of the day, my back aches.

It keeps me wondering how the ancient pregnant women walk and work while carrying their babies at the same time. Like my grandma who has 8 children and needs to do all the housework while carrying a baby on her the back. I really salute them.
