Feeding Time
Anyone with toddlers who will sit nicely during meal times? I read from books that if we trained our babies to sit nicely on a highchair or any chair when they first started solid, the baby will take that as a habit and make meal time less hassle. But I think the books are wrong!
Even since Justin knows how to stand, he’ll “escape” from the buckles, and stand up from his highchair. I’ve always been worrying that he’ll fall off the chair. Now, he’ll climb out of the chair (of coz, I’ll hold him) and runs around during meal times. It’s so tiring feeding him as he’s not concentrating on eating, but doing other things. Feeding takes longer, and the food is colder before he finishes.
One bad habit I found when my maid feeds him is he wants to switch on the TV. Not exactly watching, as he only watches for a few minutes, then he’ll do other things with the TV on. Sigh! Now I have all the bad habits listed during feeding times.
Luckily, he still sits by himself when we eat out, if I prepare his food well! At least I don’t have to chase him around the tables!
