Full Moon Plans
Isabelle’s full moon is another 8 days to go, but we decided to celebrate it earlier. Our plan is to have a mini party with friends and relatives at McDonald’s this Sunday afternoon. Why?
1. I don’t like full moon dinner at chinese restaurant.
2. Thought of having buffet at home, but MIL is against it since she doesn’t want to invite the neighbours who might think we’re trying to grab angpao.
3. There’re lots of kids involved, so they’ll be thrilled to eat and play at McD.
I know it sounds funny having a full moon party there, and even wondering if anyone has done this before. But I’m still think if I should give out red eggs and curry rice for my guests? Last time I found a website which provides special full moon gifts like chocolate, candy, teddy bear and etc and wrapped in a nice box with baby’s photo printed on it. Hubby went to the office in KL once, but now both of us forgot about the name! Sigh! Old already…
So, worse come to worst, no gifts lah.

guess i grew up associating red eggs with full moon, so it would be rather odd if not having the eggs for full moon. after all, each individual will only have the red egg moment once in a lifetime … i will vote for red eggs …
congratulations once again! McD will be a nice place I believe as the main purpose will be gathering your love one to celebrate the love and the joy.

yahyah, pls share the photos as what daddy nick mentioned. I personally think its a nice idea. The kids get to enjoy and also spare the adults from the massive cleaning.
But why curry rice huh? I thought its glutten rice? Its red eggs with glutten rice and ang gu kueh here.

Aaaah.. I remember that company who does that baby full moon thing as well.. with chocs, biscuits all in a nice box with baby photo.. I forgot the name too..
They have a website.. so you can try to search it up.. Share the url yeah, if you found one.
Hey if the old people don’t mind Mc Donalds.. then by all means do it there.. it’s you who are paying and organising.. no need to please all guests.

khongfamily, thank you so much!!! I’ll check it out ASAP!
Greenapple, I understand what you meant. It’s like a tradition to have red eggs on full moon. I’m still thinking about the gifts, but MIL said no need to give out already, so maybe we won’t be having red eggs.
Daddy Nick, ya loh, really modern huh? My friends also shocked when I told them the vanue!
Anonymous, thanks!
Mdm 2359, sorry huh, it should be glutten rice, I forgot already! will try my best to capture as many snaps as possible.
Zara’s mama, I searched for hours but still can’t get it. But luckily we have bloggers here who know about it! Most old folks are ok with McD, anyway they understand we’re selecting the place for the kids.
Msau, MIL is quite open-minded. She just doesn’t want to have it at home so less hussy to clean up later.
Jesslyn, ya loh, my hubby’s a bit ang mo type, but 100% chinese lah.

wah fullmoon in McD. Cool, I think that’s something different. I also hate all the mess it creates at home, more work to do only. Hmm..I don’t think McD can do red eggs for u huh..this will probably be their first fullmoon party in mcD

its a very lovely idea to celebrate full moon in McD. Well, we just want the kids to have fun and if there’s photos, its just for baby’s rememberance. We adults can make do with anything.
