Happy Mothers’ Day

Lots of people will be out celebrating Mothers’ Day today. I called my mum this morning to wish her Happy Mothers’ Day. Too bad I’m still stucked at home, if not, I’ll be celebrating it with her and MIL this weekend.

I joked with hubby about where’s my gift since I’m a mum now. He asked me to wait until Justin and Isabelle grow up first then ask from them. So unromantic!!! But anyway, like most mothers, I begin to understand why they say they don’t want any gifts but as long as their kids are healthy and happy, the mothers are happy too. I also don’t wish for anything much, but only good health for both my babies!

Happy Mothers’ Day to all!

Welcome to the club of unromantic husbands. Mine was so pleased when I told him we can wait till the kids are older before we celebrate mothers/fathers day and kept on repeating that the whole day. Hahahaha!

In Finland I saw most husband and kids (when they are a bit older)will bake a cake or prepare breakfast in bed for wife/mother in mother’s day. Of course flower is always the best and tradition gift, normaly they will buy “mother’s rose”, quite small rose plant. It is a big day here. Same as for father days, the wife and kids will do the same to father, so it is working in both way. Maybe you can start to celebrate father’s day to make your hubby “ashame” for not celebrate mother’s day so he might not “unromatic” for next year :-) .. Anyway, happy mother’s day to you lah :-)

Yes.. seeing the kids strong and healthy is already the greatest gift..

but hor.. husband should give us presend ma.. for giving them children.. for going through the pain of giving birth and taking care of the kids.

Jesslyn, why most men are like that huh? Always tell us that no need to celebrate on specific day, but show it everyday. Funny, I didn’t feel anything special everyday leh… At least you know how to bake, me better start learning…

Zara’s mama, that’s why I asked if my hubby’s prepared anything for me. WE GAVE BIRTH!!! I told my hubby that I wish he’ll be a woman next life and go thru labour. Ha!
