Going Botak!

Brought my 2 kids to the hairdresser yesterday. I couldn’t do it by myself, so asked hubby to get a few hours out of work and drove us there.

Justin had his hair shave here by the hairdresser, so it’s the same for Isabelle.

I dare not hold her as I’m not that fast to react if the shaver might hurt her (you know lah, mommy always worried too much), so hubby’s holding Isabelle while the hairdresser shaved her hair. She’s quite reluctant for the shave as I think the sound of the hair shaver might be scaring her. She’s crying for a while and twisting her head around.

Shaving the front of the head:

Shaving the back of the head:

The end results (I think she hates her new look!):

She looks different after the shave, and looks more like a boy. Too bad she had a tiny cut at the back of her head when she’s twisting during the shave, I was so “sum thong” seeing her cried.

Then, it’s Justin’s turn to cut his hair. This was his 3rd time to the salon, and last time he gave me an headache as he’s screaming and crying during the cut, even if I’ve prepared lots of toys and junk food for him. So, again, I let hubby hold him. Funny leh, this time he’s as good as he can be and let the aunty cut his hair while enjoying his raisins. See?

End results? He looks like ah pek, :P

I like the fist pix of Isabelle.. Even cringe whn the shaver is near her. Cute.

I never shaved Zara’s hair. Hubby is against it. That’s why Zara still has very little hair but very very fine ones.

I never shaved Yee Ching’s hair too, scared the shaver might hurt her but we got it trimmed every now and then.

  3. Daddy Nick says:

yeah, i don’t trust barbers / hairdressers when it comes to infants. that’s why kevin got his first month haircut by grandma and fourth month haircut by grandpa. they took their sweet time to snip, pause, snip, pause and snip …

Wow, a handsome prince and pretty princess!

I never shaved Jo’s hair, i think is a taxing job for trimming his hair, so i prefer to bring him to saloon.

Did anyone tell you that Botak Isabelle (the 3rd pic)looked so much like her brother(compared to the slide pictures above)now! ;)

I brought Alvan to Indian Barber shop to shave as I thought they will be more professional lor.

Zara’s mama, I think it makes no different to the hair volume if we shave it or not. Last time I was not shaved but now I have lots of hair too. :P
I’d prefer not to have her hair shaved but it’s a custom in hubby’s family, so I have to follow.

Jefferene, you mean you trim by yourself? Hubby trimmed Justin’s hair once and that’s the last time he did it. Maybe he’s too young that time, it’s so hard to be done.

Daddy Nick, that’s why I went back to this salon as she knows how to handle babies. No one dares to do it at home!

Hui Sia, true, I dare not do it myself, afraid that I might hurt them with the scissors or shaver.

Jazzmint, which girl will look happy botak! :) She had a cut at the back of her head, so felt really bad. Sigh!

    Egghead, it’s done… Too late.

Mdm 2359, they look alike, it’s like coming from the same mold. :)

Sue, really? I thought he looks like a boy already. Maybe he’s been babyish all the while, and looks more “mature” now. I didn’t compare with other toddlers, that’s why I think he looks “older” already.

Jesslyn, Justin only had a hair cut, not shave off. I don’t have him to look botak, it’s enough to get it done at full moon, once and for all.

Adrian & alvan, I don’t know any Indian barber here, and yes, they’re more professional. Ha! Isabelle has no choice, she doesn’t know how to run away yet! :P
