Tell me if dream talking runs in the family, except baby Isabelle, all of us talk in our sleeps.

Hubby’s Case
I’m a light sleeper, so I’ll wake up with the slightest sound. One night, I heard clappings sound, and woke up finding hubby’s clapping hands in his sleep, smiling and mumbling. I woke him up and he has no idea what I was talking about!!!

My Case
During my second confinement, hubby told me that I said this in my sleep one morning:
“Kakak, tolong saya cuci and panaskan pump ini, nanti saya nak guna…”
He said I was giving my instruction loud and clear.

Justin’s case
1. He cried and called Papa or Mama as if he’s having nightmares occasionally.
2. One night, he stood right up, and did a dance movement from Barney clips, then fell back asleep again. I was breastfeeding Isabelle, and I got shock seeing him doing that!!!
3. Just now, I heard him shouting for “kakak” over the baby monitor. I went to the room, but he’s sound asleep.

  1. I don’t believe I talk in my sleep (no body told me I do). But hubby sometimes does some mumbling in his sleep.

I’d seen Zara woke up, sat up right, clapped her hands, smiled, then dropped back to sleep; also seen her called out for mummy; and also heard her shouted “Don’t Want Don’t want” in her sleep.

Don’t know if it runs in the family. :P

  2. Adrian too sometimes will mumbling in his sleep, sat up and look for something. like eldest said sometimes they over play, get frighten, so night time will get nightmare..hehehee..

  3. must be very noisy in your bedroom huh? maybe you will engage in discussions with your hubby and kid some more one day :)

  4. So funny ur hubby clapping hand in his sleep. Lol. My Ryan can climb up to the bed if he sleeps on the floor & vice versa and he has totally no idea he does this :P

  5. LOL…me, my hubby & the girls ever talk or scream during sleep too!

  6. Zara’s mama, it’s better not to talk in your sleep, no secrets will be reveiled. LOL!

Rachel, my MIL also said that, so I tried not to let Justin play too much after dinner. But he still cries and screams in his sleep. It seems to be getting more often after 1 years old. Maybe he’s more active now.

Egghead, yikes, that must be scary huh?

Immomsdaughter, he won’t cry when he falls to the floor??? Not pain meh?

Jesslyn, your family is the same as mine! Glad to know others in the same gang as us. Ha!

  7. Recently Jo has bad sleep talking that almost happens every night. At first i thought the sleep talking is due to the body heatiness but i realized that it might be other culprits that cause the talking, but just not sure what caused it.

  8. Hui Sia, have you settle down? Miss your blog leh…

  9. Hey! I was about to write about this leh. DH doesn’t sleep talk, but Ian and I talks a lot! :P I will be writing about this he talk about. :)
