I buy books for Justin most of the time, but seldom buy toys. Why? He’s afraid of most of the toys in the market! It’s true, and I have no idea why.

We went toy shopping yesterday, and we let him chose his toys. As usual, he wanted to buy balls, and we took 2 footballs for him (worldcup fever’s not over yet!). Then, the promoter started showing us a new helicopter which moved around on the floor and will turn direction if it hit an object. My little boy was so afraid of it, he refused to come down from hubby’s arms. Then, she suggested buying a battery-operated bicycle which moved around too. Again, Justin said “pak pak” and patting his chest telling us he’s afraid of it. So, these two are not a good choice.

We went upstairs to look for more toys. Found a boat, and we decided to buy him one. However, Justin said he wanted to have an owl. But we couldn’t find any, not even a stuff toy. BTW, has anyone seen an owl toy or T-shirt printed with owl from Winnie the Pooh? I can’t seems to find one.

Ok, back to toy shopping. We saw some battery-operated animals / insects like crocodile, horse, bird, ladybird & etc, and hubby decided to get a toy horse for him to train up Justin’s “tam leong”. We also got a mini helicopter too.

When we got back, we played with the helicopter first. Well, he was not afraid of it, but that thing spoilt after falling to the ground for a few times. Really low quality!

As for the horse, Justin was so afraid of it, he asked us to keep it away! He kept saying “No no, keep keep….” while the horsey’s running around on the floor. So much for training him up! But maybe he’ll accept it after a few days, see how.

He doesn’t like to play with toys that move around. So, most of his toys become Li Wei’s toys. He likes toys like the cutting set, masak masak, shape sorters, stacking rings / cups, doctor set, handphone and his mini laptop. Of coz, if we buy him more Barney toys, he’ll be thrilled.

Cufflinks can be worn without a jacket and tie but remember not to wear it with casual trousers. You should be aiming to look dressy with Cufflinks so team with a quality, well-cut shirt.,

  1. some of these battery operated moving toys are quite scarry.. I never bought any for Zara.

  2. Zara’s mama, oh, glad to know that I’m not alone :P
But I wonder why they’re in the market???

  3. Most of kids will like it. My son like it very much.

  4. RE too was afraid of those battery operated toys which makes loud noises. However, since turning 2, he is attracted to these toys. We thought RE was such a “mo tam”(coward) boy. Glad to know that RE is not alone.
