Justin has a periodically theme where he likes certain things or characters which he’ll choose his books or Barney CDs according to his likings. This week, he’s very much into “Old Man” theme. His selection includes:

1. Santa Clause: He’s a man with white moustache and beard, and I accidentally said he’s an old man. So, since then, Justin likes this Santa Clause’s book titled “The Night Before Christmas”.

2. Peter & Jane book 8A: There’s this page with Peter dressing up like a Santa, no wonder he likes to look at the picture over and over again.

3. This rhyme: “It’s raining, it’s pouring. The old man is snoring. He went to bed and bumped his head, and couldn’t get up in the morning.” I’m a bit sick of repeating this rhyme over and over again for days already. I wonder when he’ll change his theme.

4. Chinese poem “老公公, 七十岁; 请您坐下来, 让我帮您捶锤背”.

5. Any pictures which shows old man!

However, he’s very afraid of real old man whom are stranger to him. When he’s younger, he’d cry if those old man at coffee shop looked at him. Now, he’ll say he’s “pak pak” when he sees an old man approaching our table when he’s serving our orders. So, it’s only old man in books that he likes, not in real.
