We haven’t gone swimming since Isabelle’s born. Out of the blue, hubby decided to bring Justin for a swim again this evening. We brought Isabelle along as we thought she could have some fun looking at us by the pool.

Justin was afraid of water again. He used to like swimming the last time we came, but maybe it’s been too long, he’s forgotten about the fun of splashing in the water. He’s hanging tight to daddy and refuse to let go, even though he can already stand by himself in the baby pool!

Poor Isabelle looked so bored staring at us by the pool, so I decided to bring her in.

She didn’t have swimsuit yet, and I should get one for her ASAP. I took off her diaper, and let her feel the water. She liked it and started splashing with her hands.

Seems like my baby girl was having more fun in the pool than my boy. While Isabelle’s having fun, do you know what Justin did?

He ran away from the pool and said “Go home!” Ha!

  1. I think there’s no fear in Isabelle yet, and it’s good you started her young..

Should bring her there more often. :)

  2. I think Justin needs some peer pressure to get him started in the pool :)

  3. Isabelle looks so cute. Yeah, like ZMM said, good to start when they don fear the water yet.

  4. Zara’s mama, you’re right, she’s fearless because she’s still young. That’s why I need to get her a switswim soon!

Egghead, err…his cousins can’t follow as they get sick after swimming. The only peer pressure is from mei mei loh…

Immomsdaughter, besides start young, I have to bring them swimming often too!

  5. Suddenly i feel Justin and you look very much alike!

Maybe Isabelle still remember your amnio fluid :)

  6. 3 months plus can go swimming already?? i must bring my Jayden go to swim also. Hey buy her a cute cute swimsuit ya? ;)

  7. u starting her real young huh…they say baby under 6 months, they are natural swimmer…think they still feel like they are in the womb ;)

  8. Keep bringing her to the pool! They just love water! But make sure keep them short and wrap her up after that! Oooooooo……..cute huh?

  9. Damien enjoyed his first dip very much, but when we went back the second time, he seemed so afraid of the waters…we had not bring him back since.

Isabelle look so cute in the first pic…;)

  10. Paiseh … I dont know how to swim, I was also planning to bring my sons to swimming pool coming weekend, I just watch them at poolside and Papa play with them inside the pool lor…then you will hear/see a women running at the poolside shout “careful, hold his hand” repeatly..

  11. It is like my sons. The older one is stiff scared when I brought him to the pool last week. While the younger one was happily splashing away. It was the baby’s first time while the older boy has been to the pool a couple of times…yet so scared.

  12. Hui Sia, really? I thought he looks like daddy. Glad to hear that he resembles me too. :)

Sasha, I’ve just bought one today. And we went swimming again! It’s never too early to bring baby for a swim, I think Jayden will like water too.

Jazzmint, since we’re bring Justin, may as well let her swim too. She’s doing fine, tried 2 times and so far so good.

flowsnow, yes, I wrap her right after she got up. Her body really cold, didn’t want her to get sick too.

Blur Blur, it’s getting harder when they grow older, but you can start with a small pool at home to let him get familiar first. I’m thinking of getting one at home to train up my boy.

Adrian & Alvan, which pool are you going? :P Your hubby’s great, he can handle 2 of them at the same time! Or your boys have already good at water huh? Oh ya, you can still drip in even if you don’t know how to swim, if it’s a baby pool. It’s not deep at all.

WMD, my boy already started to walk in the pool today. He refused us to hold him somemore! Don’t worry, your boy will love it when he’s ready. Just keep trying.

  13. She really loves water. That’s good. The first time we brought Brae for a swim, he was so scared! Isabelle is more brave!
