Justin’s 1st Lantern
I’ve been thinking of buying a lantern for Justin for a while, but couldn’t decide a battery-operated one or the tradisional type. In the end, we decided to buy this old-fashioned gold fish lantern for him.
He likes it pretty much, but doesn’t know how to hold it probably without swinging it around. I was so worried that it’d get on fire! But Justin got bored rather quickly, and “dumped” the lantern aside. Maybe his cousins haven’t started playing with theirs yet.
I missed the time when I was little and we’d walked around in the neighbourhood holding our pretty lanterns. But I doubt Justin can do that now as there’re lots of stray dogs in my neighbourhood. So, he’ll have to play this within our house compound.

Cufflinks can be worn without a jacket and tie but remember not to wear it with casual trousers. You should be aiming to look dressy with Cufflinks so team with a quality, well-cut shirt.,

Dunno why but can’t view the pix. Personally, we’ve bought the old fashion lantern as well as battery operated ones. I find the modern ones too loud for comfort but for the kids who can’t hold them properly, it’s worth it.
There was once during the Lantern festival, Ryan’s old school had a lantern parade. We joined in but hardly 5 minutes into the walk, he burnt his lantern

I prefer the traditional ones too. the battery operated ones are too loud and also lack the thrill of playing with candles and fire. We are thinking of getting the boys lantern too and hope to do a walkabout in the neighbourhood.

Jazzmint, me too, the battery-operated one is rather noisy.
Immomsdaughter and Sasha, I’ve changed to another pic. Dunno why the first pic didn’t turn out.
WMD, your neighbourhood doesn’t have dogs huh? Mine is rather unsafe, even if during the day. The dogs will even chase the cars, so I rather not walking out at night.

I prefer the traditional one, but i will buy the battery operated one for Jo due to more safety.
Nowadays kids are more confined in self compound, very pity hor? When we were young, we held the lantern like parade showing…:)

Hui Sia, yes, it’s like lantern parade!!! I really miss those days…
Adrian & Alvan, what a coincident! Actually, that’s not much to choose from too, and I don’t like to buy him any ultraman type lantern, so got him a fish instead.

I prefer the traditional types too! Those battery operated ones can be so irritating, hee! ;P

Or maybe he’s too young to appreciate it. I’m also trying to look for traditional lantern.. it seems harder to find than the battery operated ones.
