Weight: 6.7 kg

1. She’s very alert and sleep less during the day now. So, we have to carry her around in a sling or push her in a stroller.

2. She likes to have people talking to her, and she’ll coo back or giggle. Maybe she’ll be very talkative when she grows up.

3. She is good at taking things within her reach, especially MIL’s glasses!
4. I think she’s teething, as she likes to bite the toys or teether.

5. She will drool when she sees us eating. MIL’s been pressuring me to start solid now, but I still want to wait until she’s 6 months old first. Just want to minimize the risk of having food allergy or intolerance as I had with Justin.

6. She is learning how to reach out her arms asking us to carry her. And she’ll cry out when she sees my car coming back from work in the evening, asking me to carry her immediately.

7. She’s getting more and more attach to me. My little baby who knows how to go to sleep by herself has developed to sleeping at nursing only. So, I’m getting lesser sleep these days as she needs to suckle quite frequently. Luckily there’s no plan for no 3 yet, and I don’t feel like weaning her off until she’s ready.

8. She’s trying to do commando crawl, but we need to put our hands at her feet as a platform for her to push forward. She’ll be delight if she can go forward and get the toy placed in front of her.

9. She likes to roll and roll and roll. So, no more sleeping on bed with mommy, and she sleeps with Justin on the floor.

  1. doesnt it just makes your heart go all tinkly and bubbly when you hear your little one coos at you and communicate to you in baby talk?

  2. aawwww… so cute… oscar also drools when he sees us eating last time.. he will also imitate us chewing our food when he is only 5 months old. dont start solid too early.. you are right, scared she might be allergic to certain food… i only start oscar with solids when he is 8 month old…

  3. Allthingspurple, yes, my heart mealt hearing her coos and giggles. Can’t wait to hear her first word, so I talk talk talk a lot to her. Kiasu huh? :)

Oscar’s mommy, 8 months? Won’t that be too late? I thought baby needs to start solid at 6 months because milk can’t provide sufficient nutrients anymore after that period.

  4. Doesn’t it warm our heart that they look forward to see us when we return from work?

I started JE on solid very late, at 10 months. Yes maybe it was a little too late (he started teething at 4 months) as I was worried about the allergies which the older boy (started solid at 7 months) suffered quite badly. There was a stark difference in JE’s strenght right after I started him on solid.

  5. Hey,..today only I discovered our babies are exactly 1 month apart.

Food allergies? emm. I was thinking to let Darren start trying out solid when he is 5 mths old…i mean just let him taste a bit..now I have to start reconsider again..

  6. WMD, I’ve never thought that Justin will have food intolerance or allergy before, and I started him on solid at 4 months because I was under a lot of stress at work, and milk production was also decreased. But he has a few times of swollen face or rashes when firstly introduced to kiwi, orange, and also cow milk. Not to mention masuk hospital with cow milk! So, better start at 6 months old for Isabelle.

Baby Darren, if food allergy is not common among your family members, then there’s no harm to start early. But I think 6 months should be ok, as milk might not be providing enough nutrients to baby anymore after that.

  7. Recently brought my 4th month old boy to paed. He did recommend that can let baby start trying the solid food for fun, no forcing to eat…try like 2 scoops…he recommend it coz my baby weight is ideal (7.41kg) and can go on a try of coz milk is still the main food for him until 6th month. I still haven’t let let him try yet..may b near to 5th month old first. Anyway is no rush to start on solid, unless she doesn’t like milk more…

  8. oww..so fast already rolling rolling macam hindustan film star kekeke…I’m sure it gets exciting everyday goes by

  9. wow.. so fast already thinking NOT to have another already? I mean, doesn’t it naturally mean NOT to have another, since she’s still so young?
