A blog for Justin and Isabelle

Isabelle has not been sleeping well for the past 2 weeks. Maybe she’s teething as she’s drooling and keeps putting things in her mouth to bite them. Or maybe she’s hungry as I haven’t started solid on her, and only milk alone is not enough for her growing appetite. I dunno what’s wrong with her waking up every hour crying for nen nen, thus I haven’t been sleeping well at night. So, I decided to use my night time to clean up the closets last night.

First, I started with Justin’s tier drawers. Boys are boys, his clothes are rather simple to arrange, and I just had to pick up those old and unfit ones to give them away, or keep for Isabelle when she’s grown up. His clothes only occupied 2 drawers, and the other two are for towels and his toys separately. Some of his “homely” clothes are placed downstairs, sharing another tier drawer with Isabelle. In short, they’re not too much.

When I was cleaning up Isabelle’s drawer, I was quite stunned! I noticed that she has lots of clothes, mostly hand-over from Justin which she has never worn before but they’re too small already. And after I put Justin’s “new” hand-over to her drawers, they’re all full, all 4 of them! No wonder girls need more space for storing their clothes, there’re just so much! Blouse, T-shirts, pants, skirts, dresses, hats, socks, fluffy shoes, stockings, etc…Gee, shoppingmum has did it again, shopping too much for Isabelle!

Then, it’s my turn. I took out almost all of my clothes, and I found T-shirts and jeans which are more than 5 years old. I did some “fashion parade” to try out the clothes, and most of them are really too small. Gee, have really gone out of shape after these years. *Sob sob* And still hubby keeps telling me I look the same! He’s really trying to be sweet and “comforting” me only lah…

BTW, my old jeans look rather ridiculous. They’re all high waist straight cut type, and my butts really look bigger wearing them! That’s why most jeans have lower waistline cutting now, to make our butts looks smaller. And not to mention some office wear which I wore to work last time, all A-line cutting. Most fashionable skirts are flare and more feminine nowadays, like the type which will swirl when wind blows.

Yikes, my closet sucks! It’s time for shopping huh?

  3. My wardrobe sucks too.. I think Zara has a more interesting wardrobe than mine. *sigh*.

I really dare not buy much while still nursing Zara.. don’t know what boob size I’ll be, or if I’ll put on weight once I stop..

I guess, it’ll be the same for 2nd baby.. have to wait till I wean her off, thn only think about upgrading my wardrobe.

Concerning your girl hunger, maybe can consult Dr.Liew, can give cereal now, make it more liquid..

  6. Yeah! A very good execuse to go shopping again and add new things to ur wardrobe..heehee :)

  7. Our daughter’s clothes are piling up also, but not because its from buying, its inherited from her cousin sisters. They are almost brand new. I told my wife we’ll never have to buy clothes for her… but yet my wife just bought some few days ago.

  8. I dont like shopping for clothes as i hate trying them on a t the shop. Keep messing up my hair as i try them on, I prefer to knit my own clothes. I buy jeans mostly. These days, i have this urge to buy dresses, short sexy dresses. But dont have the time to really go shop.

  9. I salute you…can do so much despite your girl being so fussy at night.. If I were you, I’ll not have the energy and mood to even look into the wardrobe.

  10. Haha..I just leave my clothes in the wardrobe although I know most of them I can’t wear them already. I have to set myself 2-3 years before I try the clothes again. Ng sei dek to throw them away now. Maybe my lame excuse of not clearing my wardrobe. Hahaha!

  11. hehe i havent thrown my old clothes since my pre-faythe days…still hoping someday can fit into it *dreaming*. Gotta try hard bf vyktore. Probably once I stop then I can sort ‘em out

  12. The fashion parade part is the fun part when it comes to cleaning out our own old clothes. Think I will go and do some fashion parade now. Thanks for the inspiration. Haha!

  13. I agree that girls do have more clothes, mine does! But I do enjoy being able to do all the girlie dressing for her. As for the old jeans, I have the high waisted ones too. I soooo hate them now, brings out the bulge…ewwww…

  14. WMD, what to do? It’s part of motherhood for have dark circles and eye bags! If I sleep also I don’t sleep well, it’s just too short to snooze off. So, better do something fun! :)

Hui Sia, I don’t think mine dare to complain, Ha! I’ll surely shoot him “Why am I getting out-of-shape now? To give you a pair of kids loh”…

Zara’s mama, I hardly shopped too for the past 3 threes, was wearing maternity and nursing clothes most of the time. But now, I think I want a total make-over, to match up with my hair. Very “oi leng”…

Sasha, will do!!! Can’t wait to shopping like a queen! :)

Adrian and Alvan’s mama, I think I should talk to Mr Liew too. :)
Oh, I saw that boutique but didn’t went in. I’ll go look look see see ASAP. =)

Annie Q, another excuse is to fill in the empty space. Ha!

Julian, woman will always be woman. There’s just not enough shopping, if money is no concern. BTW, it’s always nice to dress up girls, there’re so much choices available. Like what my SIL said, wanna save money on clothes, HAVE BOYS ONLY. :)

Samm, wow, I haven’t put on short dresses or skirts for some time already. And also my legs are not killing enough lah…

Baby Darren, I was in this high mood that night, don’t know why…

Babykhong, I was thinking like that too, feel so sayang to give away. But then again, old ones didn’t go, new ones won’t come. But since you’re expecting again, got to wait another year before you’re changing your wardrobe. :)

Jazzmint, someone also told me to keep the old jeans and try to fit in them as a motivation to get back in shape. But seriously, once I really get back in shape, I want NEW CLOTHES. Very greedy huh?

  15. yeah I hear that before. keeping the old clothes hoping that I can fit them again. Well, its kind of hard to achieve isnt it? Now I am stuck betw size M & L, so difficult to get clothes, either too tight or too loose…sobsob
