Even if hubby needs to work on every Saturday, he suggested that he’d skip work and we could go to Penang early Saturday morning. A few hours earlier did make some difference to us as we missed Justin really much. So, he arranged the transporter to pick up his goods at 5am, and finished work an hour later. He seemed very tired when we’re departing, but still the will of rushing back was very strong for us.

When we reached my mum’s place, Justin was screaming in excitement at the gate. Guess who he’s missing the most? ISABELLE!!! He kept hugging and kissing her and calling mei mei mei mei…until Isabelle was rather annoyed and whined.

It’s so good to see him after a week! He’s certainly gained some weight as his face got rounded, and the tummy had also gone bigger. Needless to say, he’s been feeding well and snacking a lot too.

During the weekend, Justin had been very “teh” and cried a lot. My mum said he didn’t act like this when we’re not around. I think he missed us a lot, and now he had a chance to get all the attention he wanted from us. He even threw a tantrum when he woke up from his nap and I wasn’t at his side. Maybe he’s afraid that I’d leave him there by himself again. He didn’t want my parents to get near him and only clinged hard to me, and cried as loud as possible. Gee, he must be feeling very insecure.

To make up with the time I didn’t spend with him, we went to eat his favourite food, pizza and Japanese food. He also insisted that Isabelle had to come along, whom my mother preferred to watch her for us at home. He wanted Isabelle to be with him all the time. But when it comes to playing with toys, he was relunctant to share sometimes. Sigh!

Anyway, my mum had successfully weaned him off his thumb sucking habit. We’re so proud of him being about to quit in a week. So, I bought him an Elmo book as a present, and he loves it. Yikes, I’m really not good at choosing presents, and bought books most of the time.
