Touching Conversation

Justin was very lao kai today. Can’t blame him, he didn’t eat anything as whatever he puts in the mouth would “come out” minutes later. He’s still not feeling very feel. He didn’t want to take his nap, so I brought him out for a car ride just now.

When we reached Jusco, I carried him out from the car and said…

Me: Justin is very heavy already. Mommy is getting harder to carry you.
Justin: Justin big boy, heavy….
Me: Next time, when mommy is old like po po, I can’t carry you.
Justin: Justin carry mommy….
Me: *In cloud nine* Really ya? Justin will carry mommy when mommy is old?
Justin: Justin carry mommy, when mommy old like po po….

Wah, suddenly, he didn’t feel as heavy as I thought. :)

Baby Clothes Shopping

Christmas is less than a week away, but I’ve already started shopping for Chinese New Year. I like the cothes designs during Christmas season and tend to shop early for CNY. If you’re those that fancy red coloured clothes, there’re a lot available during this season too.

I bought 2 pairs of clothes for Justin and Isabelle yesterday. As usual, I like to buy dresses for Isabelle even if lots of people telling me that she’s too early to wear dresses as she doesn’t know to walk yet, and doesn’t have much hair. But what the heck, how to resist all those pretty dresses?

Shopping for Justin is easy, just choose the colours! LOL! I bought 2 checkered shirts for him, and long pants too. What I need to next is some T-shirts and shorts.

After that, I’ll look for some tradisional chinese costumes for the first day of CNY. That will have to wait until weeks before CNY.

Hubby’s Sick Too

Oh boy, it’s a hard day for me. Not only Justin vomits out whatever he takes, hubby is also down with fever and diarrhea. What else can I expect next???

You must be wondering why I can still blog! Ha! Actually, I need some time out, just for myself first. Justin’s playing with his cousin, even if he hasn’t eaten anything, but he is still full of energy. Hubby’s watching TV, and Isabelle’s been carried around by my maid for a while, she’s just awaken from her nap.

Ok, got to go, someone’s crying for mommy…..

*Sigh* When I’m sick I still have to do everything…..so mommy can’t be sick! I’m an IRON MOMMY! LOL!

Justin’s Sick

Just one day after his birthday, my boy is sick! But not so serious yet as his paed said as long as he’s active, he should be alright!

Last night, after I was about to go to bed after midnight, Justin woke up crying and vomited on himself, his pillow and his bed. Hubby was sleeping beside him and he got dirty too. I didn’t help much as Isabelle was awaken by his crying and asked for nen nen, so hubby cleaned everything up by himself.

I was corns from the vomited stuffs, it’s from his lunch. After cleaning up, we went to bed again. One hour later, he got up and vomited again. This time, the adult pillows and one of the mattress were stained. So, Justin, me and hubby had to share a single mattress! He didn’t want to sleep with daddy, just wanted me to be with him. How to sleep like that? So, I stayed up and pat him to sleep.

After that, I literally “crawled” to my bed and slept with Isabelle. Again, he vomited at about 5am!!! Isabelle woke up again and hubby had to clean up everything with his eyes half-closed!

By now, the only mattress left was stained, and we’re out of pillows. Hubby took Justin to the room downstairs and catched up with some sleep. Finally, everyone could sleep for a while before sunrise.

After breakfast, we took him to the paed. He had not been eating as he puked everything he swallowed, but he was still active and played at the clinic. The doc precribsed some med and advised me to give him only if necessary. It’s tummy flu, and after everything got out, he’ll be ok. Must be the buffet food he took last night at a party next door. Just have to make sure he’s hydrated by taking more water or juice.

Oh boy, after we got home, hubby went straight to bed! Talking about staying up at night, one night only he’s KO. LOL!

As for me, I’m very tired, but no chance to sleep. :)

Stay Fit

This is a sponsored post.

Being fit is one of my missions in life. I’m not doing this just for fitting myself in nice clothings, but it’s for my wellness and fitness too.

It’s quite hard to start exercising if you don’t have the habit before. Even if I’m joining pilates classes, sometimes I skip too. But by paying a few months fees in advance, I’m obliged to drag myself to the class whenever I can. By practising pilates twice a week, I feel that my body had become fitter, and I’m healtier too, even if I’m not sleeping much.

Since it’s hard for me to exercise at home as I have 2 active kids to attend too, I found that balance diet helps a lot. Don’t go for buffet and think that you need to eat the amount of money you’re paying for. Just eat normally and stop when you’re full. I used to over-eat and vomit later when I went for buffets. I didn’t stop eating when I was full, but kept on eating as my friends with bigger appetite didn’t stop yet. Once, I remembered that we’re challenging each other to see who could finish the most ice-cream. The winner could take about 25 scoopes of ice-cream, while I didn’t make to 20. But I threw up in the toilet when I reached home and suffered for food poisoning effect for days. What a record huh?

On top of that, I don’t believe in crash diet. I did that before during uni, by just munching on a few crackers a day to fit in that little black dress for a ball. After that big night, I ate like hell! Who won’t be eating after starving for so long? And regained the extra kilos later!

So, to put it in a nut shell, just eat well, and get your butt out of that sofa and do some exercise!

Conversation with Miss 8

It’s Justin’s birthday and he wanted a ride on a mini merry-go-round, so we went to Jusco for some kiddie ride.

We met with a “relative” whom had not seen Isabelle for a while…

Aunty: Wah, so big already ya?
Me: Ya loh, 7 months plus liao…

Aunty: Not much hair hoh?
Me: Yeah, still very fine and short.

Aunty: Doesn’t look like you, papa, or koh koh too. Too bad, koh koh very handsome.
Me: *Raise eyebrow* Yes, doesn’t look like us, but got a bit of koh koh look lah… *Defending*

Aunty: No lah, different at all. You mistook her from hospital is it?
Me: *Temperature rising* No lah, where got mistook? She’s still young mah…

Aunty: How come don’t look the same? Koh koh looks a bit like papa, she’s totally different.
Me: *WTF, you meant I “gao lou”?* Last time koh koh also don’t look like papa, now grown up already only has his look.

Aunty: Hai yo, this one sure took wrongly from hospital.
Me: Bye!

Spoilt my mood only, even if it’s a joke also I won’t take it, not today!!!

Playing Peekaboo

Isabelle understands that if something is covered or hid, that doesn’t mean it disappears, but just not seen. Thus, she likes to play peekaboo with Justin now.

Justin will use a small towel to cover his face, and pull it down before saying “chak” to Isabelle. Every time he does this, Isabelle will be giggling in delight. Sometimes, she’ll pull the towel down by herself, and smiles even before Justin’s face is exposed.

I like seeing them play peekaboo like this. It’s the first time when both of them are really playing and interacting together, without fighting too. Even if they play together previously, but not really sharing the toys or games. But this peekaboo game is different, it’s a game when they really play together, and enjoying it at the same time.

Luckily, hubby managed to capture them on video, and it’s gonna be one precious moment of their growing up years.

Fattening Sunday

MIL won’t cook on Sundays, and we normally eat out for breakfast, lunch, and dinner too. If hubby’s playing golf, then someone will ta pao for me as it’s troublesome for me to bring the 2 kids out.

So, it’s always unhealthy hawker food on Sundays. Sometimes when it’s too hot in the afternoon, I’ll just order pizza.
I couldn’t finish the pizza, lasagna and garlic bread, and hubby helped out a bit. However, he’s off to golf range before finishing the stuffs too. Maybe I’ll try to finish them later, and gain 2 kg after this fattening meal!

So sian, just don’t know what to eat. If I cook also I’ll prepare oat for Justin and porridge for Isabelle. Then, after cooking, I’ll lost appetite already.

Really don’t know what to cook, I mean something clean, simple and easy. Sushi maybe? Buy easier leh….In short, I’m too lazy!

Justin’s Birthday

We went to KFC to celebrate Justin’s birthday a day earlier. It’s his first trip to KFC, pathetic huh? LOL!

He didn’t like it there as he didn’t like the chicken, mashed potatoes and coleslaw. He took some bread and fries, and was very anxious to cut his cake only. He’s been looking forward to the cake for a month! I took him to choose the designs, one teddy bear cake for last week, and an aeroplane cake for today.

Frankly, it’s a last minute eating out. We didn’t have a party as there’s an old relative just passed away, and some kids couldn’t make it. So, we did our celebration among our close family members only. But still, we enjoyed ourselves.

In short, Happy Birthday Justin….Mommy and Daddy Love You. Mei Mei loves you too! Muak Muak!!!
