I like to wear red during the first 2 days of Chinese New Year, but I haven’t tried cheongsam or sam fu before. However, I like my kids to put on Chinese traditional clothes during CNY just to symbolize the occasion. I asked hubby to get these clothes when he’s working in China a few months ago, and he got for all the kids in the family. Anyway, it’s not hard to find these clothings here too as I’ve seen a few shops selling them as well.
Here they are in our traditional clothes:

  5. hehe yah we bought one for my boy, less than RM10, for my girl no lah cause she already have a pair since last year which she couldn’t fit.

we also bought a hat for my boy which was real cheap, like RM3 and the quality very good compared to those found here

  6. It’s so hard to find one as it not the CNY season. Where can I buy one for my boy? He needs to perform a play for his Kindergarten & he need to wear the samfu.

  7. Iqbal, I know some stores here in Bangkok that sell tradisional clothes all year round, but back in Malaysia, I think there’s a store in Midvalley, and one in Ipoh. Maybe you can ask around?
