OMG, now only I know we can Claim Bank Charges back from the bank! I had late payments before as my AMT aka hubby was too busy to pay the credit cards on time, and with his “tak apa” attitute, there are a few times when we paid the cards a day of two of the due day.

Most just assume that if we had a late payment (or whatever the case maybe), we are in the wrong and the bank must be legally entitled fined us for late payment or issue a Direct Debit. If you are from UK, remember that it doesn’t cost a bank a minimum of £25-00 to return a Direct Debit, Standing Order or a Cheque. It is all just a money making scheme.

So, if you want to get back you money, write a letter to the bank and request that you want a full list of all charges made on your account. Then wait for either one of the following:

  • You will either get a letter apologising that you’re not happy with the level of their service and they will get back to you.
  • You will get a refund.
  • Offered a partial refund.
  • Or they’ll deny the claim that the charges are unlawful.

Then, just wait to get your money back! Most bank will refund straight away. However, if you don’t get a refund you will have to go to a site called Moneyclaim and fill in a form. It is an internet based court system that helps you get back money that you are owed.

But remember this, this sponsored post is only APPLICABLE to UK, not us here. :(
