The Meaning of My Kids’ Names - Justin and Isabelle
Msau tagged me this, and I like this tag!
My have 2 wonderful kids. I planned for their names as soon as I knew their gender, and look up Oxford Babies’ Names Dictionary for the meaning of their English names. But for Chinese names, we waited until baby was about out because hubby and I not really good at Chinese. Furthermore, we don’t agree on some of the words. Ok, here’s the meaning of my kids’ names….
My Boy Justin
俊斌 － 英俊又文武双全
We hope that he will not only be good looking, but excel in both academic and sports. Yikes, I don’t know how to translate this. Help me!!!! Haha!
My Girl Isabelle
宇晨 － 宇宙的早晨
I wanted to use 雨 (rain) which looks more feminine, but hubby said he doesn’t like raining days because he can’t play golf. 
So, he used this 宇, which means the universe, and it’s morning for the whole universe, which sounds more cheerful and lively. Furthermore, she was born on a Sunday morning when hubby supposed to go for golf.

Zara’s mama, hers is 宇恒。 After we gave Isabelle this name, then only we realized that 宇 is a popular word for names.
