A Bad Fall
Yesterday, Isabelle had a bad fall, and had a deep cut in her mouth. It was an accident, and she was being “pushed” by my godson. However, she couldn’t balance herself and she fell mouth down on the floor. When I carried her up and comforting her, I didn’t realized there was a cut. Then my maid screamed, “Darah! Mam, darah!”
Yes, there was blood on my chest and flowing out from her mouth. I wanted to see how badly it was but she refused to let me check her mouth and kept crying. She wanted to nurse for comfort, but once she latched on, she let go and cried again. It must be really painful as the blood was still gushing out.
After a while, she stopped. I tried to check her wound again, and yes, I saw the deep cut on her inner mouth. I was thinking if I should rush her to the doctor, but it’s a Sunday, her paediatrician was not around, so I decided to monitor further. The bleeding stopped already, and she was doing fine. It’s only in the evening that she was more willing to eat and play outside again.
 Today, she was doing fine. But I noticed that the cut has some whitish tissue or skin coming out from it. So, tomorrow I’m bring her to the paediatrician. Gee, she has been falling a lot lately, am I a careless mom, or she is going through a “clumsy” phrase?

She is still a new walker and she still hasn’t master on her balance. Don’t blame yourself. If she still can eat and suck her milk, she should be fine.

Vien, I know it’s an accident, but sometimes, I’m so hurt and seeing her falling, I feel guilty about it.

i am sorry to hear about the fall. i can feel your pain. i know it hurts not only her, but also yourself when your little one falls. hope her cut will heal soon.
