Boh Kiasi
I’m out of ideas how to train Isabelle to sit nicely when we are eating out. She likes to climb out from the high chair, standing on it, and does some dance moves as if she is trying to show us she can stand very firmly on the chair. Just look at the shots I took…

Getting out from the high chair, even if she’s buckled up!

Fighting back at daddy who asked her to sit down….

Almost fell off, but daddy already stand by for her….
Nah, this is what I called challenging parenting skill. With 2 kids with different personalities, we are having double standard in bringing them up.
There is only one way that she will sit down nicely for 10 minutes, which is to let her eat by herself and mess up the place. We do this most of the time, once the food is served, we let her feed herself, no matter how dirty she will be. Not to mention, the waitress will shake her head thinking about the mess that she is going to clean up later!
What to do, you tell me?

I was laughing as I read your post (sorry)…but my goodness, Isabelle is so much like my second son JE. Looks like I am not alone now. JE is up to similar stunts when put on high chair and will be calmed down by same manner. JE also hates the car seat…what about Isabelle? I shd also take pics of him and next time show it to him when he is older.
Like you, two kids and two worlds apart..some more mine two boys but such different personalities.

Wendy, ya, she is. I have lots of her fierce looking photo shots.
1+2mom, my girl is much notty than my boy. Headache! But maybe she has the rebellious character from me. Ha!
WMD, car seat is also a big problem now. She likes to use nen nen as an excuse not to sit in the car seat, unless I am driving. Hai yo, I got to read more parenting books liao. *shake head*
