Nice Beds

We are having a good time here in Bali. Furthermore, I have internet connection. Yippie!

Our room is great and I love the wooden furniture, especially the beds. I think if I have a house next time, I will get those Light Wood Beds like the one shown below:

Wooden beds are still the best because they won’t be outdated easily. If you are looking for one, do check out those available at Wooden-Beds.com. I just love them!

Oh ya, don’t forget that lighter color makes the room looks bigger too. :)

Isabelle: 16 months old

I feel so bad. I don’t have time to measure her today as I was out to my center and busy with the pending offers. When I was free, she’s asleep or playing with her cousins (school holiday) and didn’t want to entertain me. :P

So, I don’t have her height and weight now. Anyway, I will update her progress again when I’m back from Bali. We are leaving in 2 and a half hours and I’m still blogging!!!

Ok ok, got to get some sleep liao. Cannot stick my butt to the laptop. :P

Who’s Going to Clean My Carpet?

We used to have more flooring covered with carpets many years ago. MIL changed most of the flooring to tiles because they are easier to be maintained. Furthermore, we don’t have a lot of carpet cleaning companies here, so it was a right move to change the flooring from carpets to tiles. But MIL decided not to change the staircase since the carpet was still in perfect condition.

Frankly, we didn’t clean the carpet frequently. The most we will do is just by vacuuming it, and I don’t think my maid is going this on daily basis. By vacuuming alone, most of the dust, spills, dirt and other embedded residues are impossible to be removed. So, it’s about time to hire some professional Carpet cleaners to do the job for us.

If we stay in Southern California, we might get the technicians from Quality Carpet Cleaning to do the job for us as they are well trained in complete carpet care. They will follow the cleaning guidelines from major carpet manufacturers like Dupont Stain Master, 3m Scotchgard, Mohawk, Anso nylon and Shaw Industries. Besides carpet cleaning, they have other cleaning services which include Upholstery cleaning, pet odor control, carpet repair and etc.

It’s just too bad that we can’t get the cleaning service from them and make good use of the special offer:

If you are interested, you can call their toll free number at 1-800-675-7768 for a free quotation.

But then, who is going to clean my carpet?

Sticker Fun

My kids love stickers, and I don’t mind buying lots of stickers for them as they are cheap. Besides, the stickers improve their motor skills too, so it’s one of the activities that we enjoy doing frequently. Most of the stickers I buy are only RM1 per piece, and there are lots of them on a sheet. It’s enough to occupy them for at least 30 minutes.

Isabelle needs my help to get out the stickers for her,

but she can paste them by herself,

even if it’s not that even.

Justin can manage everything by himself.

I gave them sticker albums to keep all their stickers. So far, only Justin likes to keep the stickers in place….

Hello Kitty for Isabelle and dinosaurs for Justin

Little Isabelle prefers to stick them everywhere, like the flooring… :P

One on the floor…

So, my room is more like a mini nursery with stickers everywhere. LOL!

My Ford Ranger

I’m driving a second hand Ford Ranger. Actually, the truck belongs to hubby but he is driving another car now. Since I’m his wife, I don’t have to pay for the car officially. *grin* I just take it and drive!
Anyway, at first I don’t like the truck. It’s very bulky and I had a tough time parking it at some narrow parking bays. Once, I got myself stuck at KintaKinta City because I had no idea how to move the truck out and there were lots of cars waiting for me to get my space. That made me even more nervous! I was tempted to get out of the car and ask for help. However, after a few attempts, I managed to move the truck and flea from the scene to save myself from embarrassment. Oh well, those people must be thinking, ” Lady, if you can’t drive a big car, don’t get it.” Gee…

But now, I love the truck a lot. A Ford Ranger is big higher than a sedan and I can get a better viewing of the road. Furthermore, the truck makes me feel safer on the road because it is big. So, KancilKancil hits my truck, he is looking for trouble! I bet my truck will not have much damage, as comparing to a smaller car. Thus, if you are wondering if you should get a Used Ford, go for it. But you better get the Used Cars from reputable Ford Dealers, just like the dealers from Vcars.com. If you are not a big fan of Ford cars, just use the search menu to look for your ideal car. You can sort the search results by manufacturers, car model, year of manufacturing or your budget. Hopefully, you will be able to find your dream car.

So, anyone out there with a Ford Ranger too?

This post is brought to you by Vcars.com.

Toy Farm

At first, I thought of getting the kids a wooden farm set from Penang, but Justin beh tahan already as we didn’t go back to Penang for the past 2 weeks. Thus, when he saw the Little People from Fisher Price, he asked me to get him one. I couldn’t just get a set, Isabelle would be fight for the same set too, so I got 2 sets and asked them to share the toys.

Little People

The kids were already fighting for the sets on our way back, and my maid said “Susah loh!!!” Haha! So, I got a very good day today. My kids played with the toys, got for their nap and woke up playing again.

Justin arranged this…

I could spent my time rushing for my crochet and Isabelle’s doll at the handicraft shop. It’s great to get them something new once in a while. Oh ya, I know about the news about Fisher Price’s toys, but these sets are not included.

Tutoring

Seems like a lot of school teachers are not giving tuition class anymore. My niece stopped tuition for a while, and went back to
Private Tutor at home. Actually, it would be better if she get a tutor from qualified learning center likeClub Z! Tutoring Services which provides one-on-one tutoring program. This center has individualized program that fits into the after school session too.

But too bad, we are here in Malaysia, so she won’t be able to join the program. I guess if she can pick up in her studies, there is no need for tutoring. But like most parents, we are so “kiasu”.

Isabelle’s on Bottle

Isabelle has been rejecting bottle for a long time. So, she hasn’t been supplemented and only replied on direct nursing. But now, I found a way of introducing bottle to her again.

Firstly, we have to get Justin back to using bottle. He was weaned off for a while, buy my mum said very kesian woh, so small, why can’t he use bottle for a few more years? Bla bla bla and gave him the bottle when we were back to Penang 2 weeks ago. The end result? Justin’s back to using bottle again. :P My maid almost vomited blood when she knew about this as both of us took the effort of weaning him off!
But never mind, I will wean him off again when he is older. In the mean time, we have to “use” him and the bottle. We told Isabelle that she’s a big girl now, and most bigger babies are drinking from bottles.

Koh koh drinks like this, so I follow…

But hoh, very jialat. She doesn’t know the proper way of drinking from a bottle. Just look at the way she sucks…

How to do this wan?

She only suckled on the tip of the teats. So, it will take her a longer time to finish the milk. So far, the most she can go is 3 oz. On top of that, she rejected most of the formula milk I bought, until we tried Pediasure in chocolate flavour. See? Not expensive wan also she won’t take. :P

Stainless Steel Tool Box

I used to have a tool box, the one that I carried everyday at work in the production floor. Don’t you think that I’m so vain, I have never put my hands on a screwdrivers. I used Allen keys like pens only last time. But my tool box was made of plastic, so it’s was a bit spoiled since I stuffed so many tools in it. Our company didn’t provide us the stainless steel tool box which is more durable. Maybe it’s more expensive? Or the management stuff didn’t think that it is necessary?

Anyway, I prefer to have a stainless steel tool box. We have one at home. The best thing is, no matter how rough it was handled, it is still as good as new. Besides, it doesn’t get rusty, and that’s the best part. But if you are looking for one with more storage, this 48″ tool box will be great.

48 inch Stainless Steel Top Tool Box

So, I guess the tools will be nicely placed if we have one just like this.

Mini Tea Party

Hubby’s friend had just opened a new restaurant and we were invited for a tea party this afternoon. It was very rushing for me as I only managed to reached home by 2.30pm and the party started at 3pm. So, now you know how much I hate Saturday?

BTW, I was browsing through the photos that day and I couldn’t find any photos taken of me with the kids. I have always been the one snapping the photos, so this afternoon, hubby took some shots of me with the kids. D*mn, I should have put on some makeup. :P

So, that’s how charn I look. LOL!

Anyway, we didn’t stay there for too long. Once we finished makan makan, we got to rush for Kindermusik. So, it’s time for me to “exercise” with the kids and flying Isabelle up and down. D*mn again. I was so tired! No wonder I have never needed a diet patch to slim myself down.
