Family, Money or Blogs?
I have been frequently asked about how I manage to take care of my kids and blogging so much in a day. Well, I don’t blog so much everyday as I like to be lazy and get some pampering treats occasionally. But with my kids, I learned to let go and try not to be fussy about everything. When I have only Justin, I was a supermom, but with Isabelle, I learned that things cannot be as perfect as expected. She has different characteristics as comparing to Justin, so my parenting method is double-standard now. I can’t use the same way for both of them.
But Isabelle taught me something, just because she’s more cheeky and more challenging than Justin, that doesn’t mean she is less than perfect. She has her own qualities too and I adore dearly. So when it comes to blogging and kids, if I’m in the midst of rushing like crazy, I try not to be strict to the kids. If they want to turn the room upside down, I will let them to do. Really. As long as they are not doing anything dangerous, I will just blog and keep an eye on them. But when my offers are all done, I will grab them tightly and we will have some reading, playing or talking. Sometimes, I will bring them out for some ice-cream or getting some toys. They need some pampering too.
There is always a balance when it comes to my family, money and blogs. I keep telling myself, if the money is there, just take it if I can. If I can’t do it, just leave it there. It’s not that my life is depending on it. That’s my attitude. So how come I only realized this after having Isabelle? It’s because she has this easy go lucky characteristic, but when she’s determine to do something, she will make sure that she does it. It sounds a lot like me, and I can see myself in her.
Gee, you know what I’m rumbling about ah? ![]()
