Let’s Have Lollipops Before Po Po Gets Home

MIL doesn’t like the kids to have lollipops as she’s afraid that the sweet might come off and choke the kids. We seldom buy them for our kids but Justin always gets a lot from the goodies from school. So how? Mommy is naughty today. I let the kids have it before po po gets back. Oh boy, I’m so bad.

House Plan

I passed by the house at Canning Garden the other day and the “For Sale” sign is still around. I was wondering why the house is still on sale, even if it’s completely ready. Maybe the owner doesn’t want the house anymore?

The house design looks quite nice, but the only thing is the land size is quite small. I think my kids will miss running around like they are doing now almost everyday. Furthermore, that house is situated along a busy road, and that is something I prefer to avoid when looking for a house. Luckily we are perfectly comfortable staying in the existing house, and there is no hurry of moving out.

But if you are looking for the house plan for your dream house, you may want to check out these English Cottage House Plans, Log Cabin House Plans and Small Ranch House Plans from www.HousePlansAndMore.com. Even if the designs might not so commonly seen over here, but as long as you like it, you can take it as a reference. I found a few nice designs. Mmm….maybe I should just bookmark the site.

Ready For Playdough?

I have been thinking about introducing playdough to my kids but it’s Isabelle that I’m worrying about. Even if Playdough is quite safe, but it’s not suitable for kids as young as Isabelle yet. Thus, I might have to ask the kids to put on the aprons and do the playdough by ourselves. They seemed to be enjoying it when we did tang yuan many months ago, and we will have another tang yuan next month. Maybe from there I will be able to judge if Isabelle is ready for something like this.

At the same time, I’m keeping a copy of playdough recipe for my own reference. I might need it one day.

Justin’s Birthday Plan

My kids love candy. Justin always brings back a lot of candy and goodies from his nursery every time there is a kid celebrating his birthday. He wants to do the same for his friends too, so I’m still thinking if I should just get McDonald’s or buy vintage bulk candy and packing them up in goodie bags.

It’s very easy to get the candy in bulk since eSnacks.com has a lot of daily favorites to offer. Some of the common brands will be Baby Ruths, Butter Fingers, Kit Kats and Mentos. Don’t tell me you haven’t heard of this!

So, if I would to save some money, I should just get the bulk candy huh?

Travel to Edinburgh

I love history. When I was studying, I always scored well in history even if I didn’t memorize the fact. Funny, I just read it like story book but all the chronicles, names and facts were stored in my brain. LOL! Hopefully, one day I will have a chance to visit some historical spots, especially the castles.

Undoubtedly, one of the famous castles in the world is Edinburgh Castle, which is situated in Scotland. I don’t have any friends staying in Scotland, thus I will need to get one of the nicest Edinburgh Hotels within my budget. If you know any Edinburgh Accommodation which is great, let me know ya? I would like to save up some money as I won’t be visiting Scotland alone. I might want to visit a few places in UK, including Manchester as our relatives stay there. But the good news is, I don’t have to look for Manchester Accommodation as we can stay at his place. I don’t think he will mind if we stay there for a few days!

However, I might buy a lot of Marks and Spencer or Miss Selfridges there. Someone told me they are cheaper as comparing to the prices we are paying here, is that right?

Mommy Say No

My kids love to play with pens and pencils in the room. I have tried my best to place them up higher on the shelf, but both of them are good at reaching up higher with a chair. Sometimes, it’s even more risky placing things too high up as they will try to climb higher with all sorts of things. I don’t know if I should be happy about my kids who are great an “contingency” plans.

Another thing about this is I don’t like them holding the pencils and pens and running around in the room. They like to bounce on the bed as well, and I am worried that they might accidentally get hurt if they fall. Thus, I keep screaming when I see them running with pencils in hands. Gee….I really sound like one paranoid mother. LOL!

But I would rather keep my active kids safe than sorry. So Justin and Isabelle, sorry that mommy yell again just now, ok? I just don’t want you two to get hurt.

Horse Riding

I was blog hopping just now and only realized that we can just go to the beaches in Penang for horse riding. How can I forget about this? We brought Justin there when he was a baby, so he’s too young for horseback riding. Now I think he’s ready to give it a try, but just sitting on it. :)

By the time we are going to Hawaii a few years from now, both my kids will be old enough for horse riding. Of course, the horse cannot be running though! That will be too dangerous for the kids. I will check from Kauai Travel Blog and Oahu Vacation Info to see where can I find more information about horseback riding. At the same time, I need to check the minimum age allowed as well.

But let’s see what my blog buddy say when she’s back from her trip. I wanted to know all about it, especially which Hawaii home rentals is good for staying. Besides, we have to work on the budget too, I can’t spend 30k on a vacation leh!

Traveling with Kids Is Not Hard

I love traveling with my kids and even if there are a lot of people telling me that it’s troublesome bring kids around and why didn’t we bring our maid along, I will just act deaf. It’s not that hard, but you just need to take things easy and if you can’t follow the schedule, let it be. Traveling with kids are great family moments and what is the big deal of you miss some tourist spots?

Most importantly, you can have one or two activities per day that are suitable for the kids. Simple activities like arts and crafts, kite flying, building sand castle and swimming in the pool is great enough. Of course, you can still pick a few tourist spots for sightseeing, and so far my kids are alright in our trips.

If you are wondering about What to Do in Kauai when you are going there with your kids, check out Kauai Travel Blog. And remember to choose the Kauai vacation rentals which are family oriented as hotel rooms can be pretty boring to active kids sometimes.

Justin is Sweet…

Justin was waiting for hubby to be back, but he’s going outstation again and no matter how I asked him to go to bed, he would still be tossing around.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Justin: Mommy, I clean up the toys first huh?
Mommy: You sleep lah, mommy do later.
Justin: No, I clean up first, I can clean up myself.
Mommy: OK.
He picked up the toys and gave me a kiss, before going to bed. Then he gave Isabelle a kiss on her cheek too.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Justin: Mommy, I put up my chair first.

Mommy: Sleep dear…

Justin: No, have to put the chair back.

Mommy: Ok

He placed his chair back at the table, gave me and Isabelle a kiss again before lying on bed.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Justin: Mommy, can I call papa?
Mommy: Ok.
Justin: Hello papa, blablabla….bye Papa.
He gave me my phone, a kiss on my cheek and another kiss on Isabelle’s before lying down again.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I was busy at my laptop and Justin came to me again.

Justin: Mommy, I want to give you a kiss. Good night mommy. You do your work.

Then, he gave Isabelle another kiss before going to sleep.

I stopped my fingers. Sat there looking at my boy. He had slowly fallen asleep. I got up, gave him a hug and a few kisses on his cheek. One from me, one from Isabelle and another one from hubby. He’s so sweet.
