Futher Study No More

I guess most of us are familiar with Capella University because most blogs write about it. It’s the only online university accredited by CACREP for two master’s degree specializations. If you are interested to know more about it, you can just hop over to http://www.capellacommons.com and check out the interviews about the students, lecturers and staffs to gain more insights about the online courses offered, such as masters in counseling, business, information technology, education and etc.

Personally, I’m too lazy to go back to study. I would prefer to learn more about how to make money or just act like a “tai tai” now. I have never been ambitious, and further study is not on my list anymore.

Presents?

We wanted to get the kids some toys from Langkawi, but we couldn’t find anything nice. I thought we can get some branded toys from the duty free centers, but there isn’t any! Or did I miss it???

In the end, we got them batik shirt and dress. I know they aren’t really excited about getting clothes as presents, so we will try something nice from them in Bangkok. It’s a shopping paradise there, but I wonder if FIL or BIL is willing to be our driver? :P

We don’t have plans of what to do there in Bangkok, and we will decide once we get there. Gee…I haven’t even packed! But most importantly, I will grab the passport, flight details, some clothes, diapers, milk and bottles. For the rest, I will shop there.

Hugs to Kids

Hubby and I reached my parents’ place at about 8pm. We were hungry and tired, but our kids refused to let us go. We couldn’t even take shower! LOL! It’s great to see them and I think Isabelle gained some weight. Her face is rounder now.

After dinner, we headed back to Ipoh and Isabelle refused to let go off my hand even if I was sitting at the front passenger seat while her car seat was at the back. My right arm was numb and my back ached, but she won’t let go. She really missed us for the past few days. Justin on the other hand was excited to go back because he has a party tomorrow morning and he’s eager to see his  friends.

It’s great to be away from parenting for a few days but I really miss them. I’m more than eager to have my kids turn me upside down now, but too bad, they are sleeping soundly now.

Missing Those Years

Berjaya Resort was very packed with tours from China and some college students during our stay in Langkawi. We managed to talk to some when we were having some drinks at the lounge. Those students seemed to be so care free, and they reminded me of those days when I was having fun going out with my uni-mates.

I missed those days when I was studying, but I don’t think I will ever go back to further study anymore. I’m not as ambitious as my friends are took master degrees at various universities. Some of them even have plans of pursuing online courses offered by institutions like capella university and others since they are working now.

What I really missed is just the care free life. What else to worry about except the assignments and exams during those years?

Going Back To The Kids

I miss them a lot, even if it’s just for 3 days. Frankly, it’s a bit bored traveling without the kids. LOL! I have time to be lazy and sleep like  a pig, but I miss mothering my kids. Funny hoh? Got time to holiday and still worry about this and that. But I really enjoy this holiday, and it’s ok to do this once a year. However, we will have try to have more holidays with the kids to make up with them.

Ok, I have a ferry to catch now. Ciao!

A Birthday Cake for Justin

Justin is celebrating his 3rd birthday on the 17th, but hubby and I are going to Langkawi on that day. We wanted to delay the trip, but we have plans for Bangkok and at the same time, no room is available after 19th. Hubby said as long as we have the “heart” to celebrate Justin’s birthday with him, it’s ok to bring it forward. He will have a party at school once we get back from Langkawi.

This evening, we went for dinner at the club. It’s not crowded, so the kids could enjoy themselves running around and be as noisy as they could be.

We kacau at the club

After that, we went back home for the cake. Justin wanted to have a horse cake, and after some thoughts, I came out the idea of a farm cake. He liked it a lot since there were farm animals and the barns were made of chocolate sponge cakes.

All the kids were excited to see the cake. Justin wanted koh koh to take a photo with him. He’s very close to koh koh now, and they hardly fight. It’s great since Li Wei is my godson, and I hope that Justin will have a koh koh to play with as well.

Bull Bar for My Truck

Since I’m driving a truck, I wonder if it’s a good idea to install a bull bar on my Ford? If I hit any car, the car is going to be badly smashed by me! But it’s more for protection since there are lots of thieves that snatched by hitting the cars of lady drivers first before they rob. So, the car will be better protected if you have bull bar.

Then again, I will leave the decision to hubby. He doesn’t even fit the dent he got when he hit the truck last time, so do you think he will take the effort of install a bull bar?

Kids Fight

We were having some play time with the kids and suddenly my kids fought. :P

Justin likes to kacau Isabelle, and these days, Isabelle fights back. You can see from the video that Isabelle bit Justin on his arm and Justin took revenge by trying to step on his sister. Of course, both hubby and I tried to stop him so hubby didn’t capture the part he stepped on Isabelle.

Anyway, Isabelle is ok, but Justin has teeth mark on his arm. Sigh…

Skipping School Like Crazy

We will be away until Boxing Day, but we will be back for Justin’s birthday and Christmas party at school next Thursday. Thus, my boy will skip school and I wonder if he still wants to come back to the nursery until the new term starts?

He’s still young and it’s ok for him to skip school. Besides, it’s the last month of the year and most of us have lots of plans away. 2 days after we are back from Bangkok, Justin has an orientation at his new school. I haven’t bought anything like the school bag and stationery, so we will have to rush the last minute school reopen shopping again when we are back.

So, this month is going to be very busy for me, but I’m sure that all of us will enjoy a holiday away.

Asking for Phone

I met a few teenagers at the knitting shop lately. They are there with their knitting mothers and some of them learn how to do the handicrafts as well. I overheard a conversation between a mother and a 12 year old girl who’s asking her mom to get her a new handphone which costs more than RM2k. Her mother was trying to convince her that she’s too young for it, but she insisted on that phone.

Some of the teens are really attached to free chat service and they love to leave and receive chat lines from friends or boyfriends. It’s very common for teens to get involved with phone chat, as long as they are getting along with the right circle of friends.

But must the girl use an expensive handphone for the chat? I don’t think so. She’s too young for that.
