Be Back and Away Again

Our vacation is not ended yet. After flying back from Chiangmai, we still have short trip to a horse riding resort tomorrow and we will be there for a few days. I arranged this trip to satisfy my kids’ “desire” of riding on ponies, and they might be able to get a few hours of horse riding course too, if they are tall enough.

Some of my friends are wondering how would my workaholic hubby agreed on having such a long vacation? Anything more than a week is long to him already. LOL! Oh well, his company is closed for a week for Christmas and New Year celebrations. Besides that, he can always check his mailbox for anything important. Even if he’s not running a home based business, but it’s still very flexible during this period of time.

So, while we are away again, I hope that everyone has a nice holiday this week. :)

Great Time in Chiangmai

We are having a great time here in Chiangmai, and 4 days are obviously too short for a nice place like this. All of us hope to come back here again next time, and hopefully in the next winter in Thailand.

It’s not really cold, or maybe all of us can tahan the weather. Some people around us might be wearing the sweaters, but I had to force my kids to put on their windbreakers, and they even told me that it’s not cold! :P

We will be checking out soon to catch our flight this afternoon. But before that, I managed to get some Thai massage for my arching back. LOL! Too bad I don’t have time for spa in Chiangmai, didn’t know that spajobs and spa centers are a plenty here.

I should try them out next time. In the mean time, I have more than one thousand photos to be sorted out. Gosh, I can really snap photos!

Happy New Year

We are off to Chiangmai tonight, by TRAIN! Can you believe it? I’m going to be stuck in the train for more than 12 hours. OMG!

Our kids have been talking about taking the train ride for some time, and hubby wanted to make them happy! He said it’s time for them to experience their first train ride, the long distance type. But my oh my, 12 hours seem to be very very long to me. :P I used to take the train from JB to Penang, so I’m a bit kia kia of long hours in the train!

We got the 1st class sleepers with air-conditioned and 2-berth compartments, but too bad no toilet la. LOL! Hopefully, we can get some sleep on the train and wake up early to see the sunrise and the northern mountains of Thailand.

Just in case I don’t have cari makan post and no update until we are back….

Happy New Year everyone!

No More Santa Fantasy

I can’t remember the age when I knew that Santa Clause is not real (sort of like a story la), but my kids surely know by now that Santa doesn’t really exist.

On Christmas Eve

Me: Kids, tonight you have to sleep early. Later Santa might come and give you presents, if you have been good.

Isabelle: Huh? Who come? Santa Clause come? How? How? Where?

Justin: How Santa knows our house? He knows meh? No chimney la…

Me: O.o

 On Christmas Day

Me: Did you get your presents? Santa did come right?

Justin: Ya, I got present. *silent*

Isabelle: Oh, present, ok. *didn’t mention anything about Santa*

After their Christmas party at school

Me: Did you see Santa at school?

Justin: Cheh, it’s Teacher Richard la.

Me: O.o *blame it on Teacher Richard for being too thin* LOL!

We listened to Christmas songs last night and when “Santa Clause is coming to town” was playing…

 You better watch out
You better not cry
Better not pout
I’m telling you why
Santa Claus is coming to town

Isabelle: Me cry woh…

Hubby: Oh no, you cry. Then Santa won’t give present to you.

Isabelle: *merajuk* STUPID SONG.

Justin: No Santa wan la.

Me: O.o

When we were driving the kids to school and listening to Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer this morning…

Me: Isabelle, can reindeer fly?

Isabelle: Cannot. Reindeer cannot fly *she saw real reindeer before*

Justin: Mommy, you don’t know meh? Only birds and plane can fly.

Me: O.o

So, since there is no more Santa fantasy, I think I don’t have to buy Christmas presents next year. LOL! Just kidding la…

“My Song”

We went shopping last night and when hubby and I were busy picking some toys, Isabelle shouted to us…

Isabelle: Mommy, mommy, pa pa, you see? MY SONG! My song!

Me and hubby: Huh??? *looking at each other, puzzled*

Isabelle: You hear? Isabelle, Isabelle, Isa all the way….bla bla bla

Hubby and I couldn’t help it, we burst into laughter. We confirmed with her again…

Me: This is your song? Isabelle?

Isabelle: Ya, you listen? Isabelle, Isabelle, Isa all the way.

Beh tahan, she looked so cute trying to convince us that it’s her song. Isabelle’s song. LOL!

Justin got a bit jealous, maybe he can’t find a song in his name? So he confronted Isabelle and say…

Justin: What Isabelle? Jingle bell la. Your name is jingle bell meh? Huh huh huh???

Isabelle puzzled….I think she was trying hard to listen…

This morning, we played the Christmas songs in the car and when it’s Jingle Bells song, we teased Isabelle again.

Hubby: Isabelle! Your song!

Isabelle: *with a rather serious look* No, it’s Jingle Bell. Not Isabelle. *and starting singing along with the tune*

Singing Jingle Bells on the way to school for the Christmas party.

Hahaha! That’s something cheerful on Christmas morning.

Jewelry

I like jewelry, but I hardly wear any. I have a few accidents of scratching my kids’ with my rings and bracelets, so I seldom wear them on normal days. Most of the jewelry is kept in the safe deposit box at the bank back home. And I wonder if hubby remembers to pay for the coming deposit fee as it’s due in December!

Hubby doesn’t know much about giving me gifts so he would rather play safe by giving me jewelry. LOL! I’m not sure if he choose the designs by himself, or just ask the help from holsted jewelers. Anyway, I don’t mind much about the designs as long as he gives me something on special days. LOL!

We Are Back

Hi Everyone, miss me and mei mei or not?

We are back from the beach, and it’s so much fun! Mommy has hundreds of photos to be sorted out, and all those aunties and uncles at the office also snapped a lot of photos of us, and mommy need some time to look through all the photos before coming out with the post.

Not only that, she has so much work today!!! Summore still have a few cari makan post, like this mesothelioma review expiring soon. Now, she’s rushing everything like mad.

Wait ya? If she has time, the post will be out soon.

Off To The Beach

BIL’s company is having a trip to the beach tomorrow, and we are joining in too. I think there will be more than 30 persons in this trip, but we won’t be joining the office staffs in the vans. Hubby will drive all the way there, and hopefully, the journey will take less than 4 hours. I’m a bit paranoid with traveling in Thailand after the 7 hours drive to Korat!

I haven’t done packing yet, but honestly, I don’t think we need to pack a lot for a trip to the beach. I guess we can easily find some T-shirts and shorts at those stalls by the beach, as long as we don’t mind paying for it. But most importantly, I have to bring along the sunscreens, especially for my children. They have two more trips to go in December, and I don’t want them to be “roasted” and burnt after this trip.

Besides that, I will bring along their jackets too. The weather is not as cold as last week, but then you will never know. We don’t need something as thick as berghaus fleeces, which is more for Chiangmai, I guess. Something like a thin jacket or a windbreaker will be great for kids. I wonder if I can fit everything in our medium size luggage? We will only be away for 3 days, so there shouldn’t be a lot of stuffs…

At the same time, I’m not sure if I will update my blogs while we are enjoying ourselves at the beach. Most likely, I won’t bring along my laptop! But of course, if I have some special assignment, then I die die also find a way to go online. LOL!

Stay tune for another password protected post when we are back from the beach!
