Art And Craft Day
Last Friday, we accompanied Justin to his school because there was an art and craft session being held where parents were encouraged to take part with their children. Justin doesn’t like drawing or coloring, so I didn’t expect to see any masterpiece from him but just wanted him to have fun with the pencils and crayons.
The theme of the drawing was bird, and parents were to guide their kids on how to draw birds or anything that fly. It could be illogical, as long as the kids were using their creativity and imagination. I talked to Justin about our trips to bird parks and the first thing he remembered was the parrots. Then, he said, “I dunno how to draw woh….how to draw bird mummy?” Seriously, I didn’t know how to answer him as I didn’t want to help him with the drawing but just giving guidance and ideas. I told him to joins some circles, ovals, rectangles and straight lines together, and it turned out to be….something like a bird. LOL! He drew a few ovals as eggs, colored here and there, and voil! Habis, finished, and done.
We brought Isabelle along, and she was having fun with some scribblings too.

There was a talk after the drawing session, but hubby and I took Isabelle to Coffee Bean.

I didn’t want to waste time listening to the talks because the classroom was hot until I felt like having a migraine. Besides that, I won’t enroll Justin into the art program as we won’t be here for too long.
When we picked up Justin after the school session ended, I asked him if he likes art. He said no, no drawing, no coloring because “I don’t like”. So, no point forcing him now, but I will just let him have fun with the color pencils or water colors.
