I only know by now that we won’t be going out for dinner on the eve of Chinese New Year. That means MIL is going to be busy cooking for all of us, and most probably, I won’t be helping out. I will take care of my kids but my maid will help her in the kitchen. Why? If I am in the kitchen, Justin and Isabelle will be climbing all over the place, messing up the veges or meat, and having masak masak game for real. LOL!

Frankly, I like to have “tuan yuan fan” at home, but I know that MIL will be busy like a bee. She’s very old and she has not been as fit as before. She will even break her wrist falling on the floor! Thank god for all the medicare part d coverage though.

But eating out is very troublesome. The food sucks and the restaurants are very packed. There was one year when we had to wait 2 hours for the lousy pre-ordered food to be served. With kids around, it’s best not to do that over again.
