Cute Or Pretty

Actually, hubby caught the conversation between Isabelle and me the other day, but I looked dreadful so I decided not to upload the clip. LOL! Anyway, I’m having some hiccups with YouTube, and the last thing I want to do now is scratching my head wondering how can’t the clips work.

We always praise our kids, and even if my kids might not be the prettiest kids on earth, we will still tell them that they look handsome or pretty. Sometimes, we will tell Isabelle what a cute girl she is, but I wonder if she understands the difference between cute and pretty.

Me: Isabelle, are you cute or pretty?

Isabelle: Cute.

Me: Are you pretty or cute?

Isabelle: Cute.

Just to make sure that she’s not copying my last word.

Hubby: You not pretty meh?

Isabelle: No, cute.

Me: Pretty la.

Isabelle: Cute.  Cute la. Cute …eerr eer…cute.

LOL! Hubby and I laughed so hard looking at how serious she was when she’s trying to emphasize how cute she is.
