On My Shopping List…

I haven’t bought anything for the house yet, but we took a good look at it this morning and came out with the list of things we should get for days to come. On top of that, I’m thinking of getting something for the kids too since they have been doing great at my parents’ place. I’m thinking of getting a gold necklace for Isabelle as another birthday present for her. She won’t be wearing it though, but I will help her to keep that gold necklace. I will give it back to her once she’s older or just let her wear for special function.

My mum may get Isabelle a pendant, so I don’t have to get one for her now. Other than that, I’m still thinking about what to buy for Justin. He likes anything in purple, so I will try to find something in purple for him in Chatuchak tomorrow.

In Bangkok

Hubby and I arrived in Bangkok last night. We thought that the kids will make a fuss about us leaving them in Penang, but they surprised us by being obedient and they understood that we are away for a while but we will be back to bring them over on the next trip. We spent lots of quality time with the kids yesterday until they sent us off at the airport.

Isabelle was sleepy but Justin was totally energetic

Both of them didn’t cry. They waved goodbye to us and gave us hugs and kisses before they left. Gee…miss them miss them miss them!

Anyway, we have got the keys this morning so I will be busy cleaning the house tonight. I might not be blogging that much, but there are some photos I took over the weekend which are yet to be shared. Stay tune though, and I will try myself to update my blogs from Bangkok.

Getting Ready…

I have been talking to the kids about our trip to Bangkok and them staying with my parents for weeks. At least, they cried, then Justin slowly adjusted to the fact that we can’t bring them along, so he said he will watch out Isabelle. Of course, I’m not sure if he really meant it, that’s why hubby suggested that we don’t let the kids send us to the airport. But I feel that it’s better if the kids can see us going off and coming back again. We are not sure how frequent will we be traveling in the future, so it’s best to let them understand that mommy and daddy are just away for a while and we will be back. But then again, both of them might cry and make a scene at the airport. Sigh…

But Justin understands that we need to set up a home for them there. We told him that he will have a purple bed, a purple pillow but he has to bring his bolster with him next time. Isabelle wants masak masak toys awaiting for her there, and that can be easily done. We have come out a list of things that we need to buy for the house, and it’s one long list! Most importantly, we better get a water filter and one of those tankless water heaters. I’m quite particular with water quality and I can’t bath with cold water!

Luckily the owner left us the sofa and some furniture. I don’t mind using them as the tenant agreement is only valid for one year. No point spending too much on furniture now. But hubby said no matter what, he’s going to get a new bed for us. Cannot sleep in other people’s bed woh… :P

No Camera, Mommy

My kids are used to seeing me holding a camera and taking their photos as much as I can. But sometimes, they will protest and refuse to be shot.

Isabelle will only turn to her back and won’t let me snap her face. She seldom does this though.

No camera, mommy…

If she refuses to take a photo, she might do some silly facial expressions like this…

You can’t snap me smiling :P

See? So cheeky huh? She’s a playful little girl mah…

But Justin might tell me firmly that he doesn’t want to be snapped. If I still bring out the camera, he will protest by pretending to shoot it down.

Luckily, it’s just a water gun and I won’t get hurt. LOL! If not, hubby will have to pay for rhinoplasty San Diego if I lost my nose.

Shoot shoot mommy…

But the other day, I managed to snap a photo of him showing that he’s totally annoyed.

What la, still snapping?

See? He looked so angry huh? LOL! But I don’t care, I like snapping photos of their different expressions. But of course, I can’t do this all the time, have to take care of their feelings now. Kids are not like babies loh, they know how to express themselves better now.

Sweaty Faces and Rosey Cheeks

I love watching my kids play. I can’t keep up running with them but I try to follow from behind. Both of them can really run! They enjoy racing against each other from one end to another end over and over again, but most of the time, Isabelle comes last. :P Nonetheless, she still enjoys the race and keeps running with Justin and Li Wei koh koh.

Sometimes either one of them might trip and fall while running too. I used to be very worried about it, and ask them to slow down. But you know, they are just kids. How to ask them to slow down when they are playing happily? As long as they are not badly hurt like falling face down and break their noses *ouch* and need a rhinoplasty later, ok la, I will try best not to be over exaggerating about their race.

What I love best is looking at how sweaty they are and I feel like cubit their rosey cheeks.

Both of them don’t have much hair, and if they sweat profusely, the hair looks even lesser. Sometimes, kids don’t really need a lot of toys huh? They can have so much fun playing outside, just by running and running. :)

Lashes and Mascara

I thought of perming my eyelashes again but I had totally forgotten about it when I went for my facial. My beautician did it for me a few times, but my soft lashes can’t hold the curl for too long. After a month or two, they will go back to normal. I don’t know how to stick on the fake lash everyday, and when I went to fix the permanent fake eyelash that last for 3 weeks, everyone said I looked like a doll. Too fake already!

Have anyone tried eyelash hair transplants? I heard about it, but someone told me that you might need to trim the lashes if they grow too much? Really ya?

That’s why I’m getting more particular about mascara nowadays. I buy a new one every few months because I use it quite often. Besides that, it’s best to change the mascara every six months. Talking about mascara, I better remind myself to get a new one from the airport. It’s cheaper there mah…

Family Vacation Plan

A friend of mine is going to Gold Coast soon. She got the cheaper flight tickets from AirAsia, but I wonder if the plane will be the same as the normal ones I take? Flying 6 hours in a small plane can be really tiring, but if I get back and walk around once in a while, it should be better.

I have only been to Melbourne previously, so maybe we should plan for a trip to Gold Coast next time. We supposed to go Australia this June, but I guess our vacation is being canceled again due to our next plan to Bangkok. But never mind, there’s always next time. It’s not like I need to visit the place urgently and get myself a Gold Coast Plastic Surgery. LOL!

So, for this year, we will only travel around in Thailand. Koh Samui and Chiang Mai are some of the places I have in mind, and hubby plans to bring the kids on a train trip from Hatyai to Bangkok too. Let’s see how can we arrange these short trips for the kids. As long as we can spend some holiday together as a family, it doesn’t matter if we are flying to Australia soon.

Like Hubby or Like Me

Some said that Isabelle is looking more like hubby. I thought that she looks more like me now? LOL! She has a round face, just like me. Just hop over to my personal blog and you can see how rounded my face is. I used to be really bothered about it when I was a little girl as my face was like a moon!!! Furthermore, I had more baby fat and it was much rounded and fatter.

But as I age, I begin to have sharper facial structure, it’s still round, but not as round as “cham chem peng”. :P My grandparents used to tease me about it. Anyway, I just hope that Isabelle won’t “blame” me for giving her the rounded face gene. Hopefully, she will have taller nose later, and she won’t consider a naples nose plastic surgery. Even if plastic surgery is pretty common and most Korean parents will send their daughters for restructuring once they are older, I hope that my kids won’t have to go for that.

It’s best to learn how to accept ourselves huh? But frankly, if my kids really want to go for it, there’s nothing much I can do about it except talking about the pros and cons. What else can we do when they are all grown up?

On Pills

Hubby keeps reminding me to pack my medicine and nasal spray for the trip, so I better get them done latest by tomorrow. My doctor gave me his email too, and if there’s anything, I would either give him a call or drop him a mail. He will be away for a while when I’m back from my trip, so we need to do some arrangement for another check up before he’s flying on his trip.

Some doctors have can access to drug information through their PDA or smartphones, as long as they are connected. It will really save the doctor’s precious time in prescribing the medicine, if he needs to check some reference. I wonder if the doctors here are using the free medical software now? If they have PDA or smartphones, maybe they can download the mobile CME from Epocrates and keep track of their CME status too.
Anyway, I’m still sticking to the same medication. I hope that my doctor won’t change the prescription since these pills are not making me drowsy. Don’t you hate those dizzy feeling you get after taking pills?

This announcement was paid for by Epocrates.

Isabelle: 2 years old

Weight: 11kg

Height: Not sure…

Isabelle is 2 years old today, but we already celebrated her 2nd birthday days ago. We won’t be doing anything special today except giving her more kisses and hugs. But she got herself a boo boo on her head. Sigh…She fell off the sofa when we were waiting for the doctor for my ear inspection.

One minute later, she fell off the sofa. Sigh…

She’s really playful and active nowadays. Even strangers will tell me how active and “kwai” she is when we are out. A few days ago, we went shopping for Crocs shoes and she ran out from the shop when hubby was picking his. I chased out as fast as possible in my heels and I was glad that I managed to grab her before she ran further. Luckily, Justin didn’t came for us, if not I would have my greatest nightmare if I lose either one of them.

Pretending as Supergirl

But some times, she can be really “lady” and soft, especially when she talks to me. She talks more by joining more words together like “(give) mei mei sweet plz”, “(I) want Tom and Ri (Jelly) now”, “Mommy sleep with mei mei (this one really like full sentence liao), and her favorite phrase, “koh koh naughty, mommy”.

She likes playing with lego Duplo now. Previously, she will just stack them up like a tower, but now I can see some structure. Sometimes she will tell me it’s a train, but most of the time she will just play them quietly and refuses to tell me what they are. Maybe she doesn’t know what she’s doing? I don’t know la…

Isabelle plays Lego a lot

Besides that, she gains some weight. Everyone said that she’s fatter now. She eats a lot since she’s a baby, but lately, her face is rounder and her tummy is bigger. She loves noodles, especially wan tan mee. She can take half a bowl by herself now, and surprisingly, we don’t have to cut the noodles in smaller pieces for her anymore. She can help herself with it.

Enjoying her noodles.

Time flies so fast. My baby girl has grown from a baby…
