Sand Picture
I think this is what they call it, a sand picture, but do correct me if I’m wrong. I bought a few set of sand pictures for the children since they like art and craft a lot.

It’s a bit messy, but I will lay out the newspapers for them before they start pouring out the sand. Besides that, my maid doesn’t mind to clean up the mess later, thank god!

We love to do the sand picture.

Let’s get started.
I don’t like them to do it at the shopping malls since Isabelle is a bit too short for the trays. It’s easier for her to do the sand picture at home. I still need to peel out the top part for them and tell them which color to use sometimes. But after a while, they will choose their own colors or mix up the remaining sand. BTW, they spread the sand with their fingers, so I think it’s only suitable for toddlers who won’t put the sand in their mouth or rub their eyes.
Here’s the end results:

Too bad we can’t get the sand in exact colors for Barney and Baby Bob. If not, the pictures will be nicer.

Hi Shoppingmum,
Yes, that is sand art. It is an interesting art for children to play with, but like you said, it is messy!
My kid is also almost same age as yours! So far, I only let her play colour pencil and white marker pen only, havent venture into sand art yet! Worry she will spill them all around the house, knowing her style! hehehe
