Feeling Better

My kids are feeling better this morning. Last night, Isabelle had a high temperature again but I was too tired to get back and check on her. Hubby found out about it and he woke me up. I was shocked to see how hot her little hands were wrapping on my arm, but I didn’t feel anything in my sleep. I must be really exhausted staying up for 3 nights already…

We sponged her and fed her paracetamol. Her temperature dropped to about 37.5 deg an hour later, and we went back to sleep. Justin is recovering well this time and he didn’t have high fever for the past 12 hours. Maybe the visit to the phytobiophysic practitioner yesterday helped a lot. This morning, he woke up feeling well and he wanted to do his homework.

Doing one of his 6 books of homework. O.o

However, he still doesn’t feel like eating. He doesn’t have appetite for anything at all.

He wants to look good in this photo. :)

Isabelle woke up late this morning. Her temperature stabilizes now and she eats well today.

Flashing her smile at the camera

But still, she has loose stool and keeps telling me “tummy pain pain”. Other than that, she’s alright now.

She looks blur for 3 days already…

If they are still not doing well, we will bring them to see their paediatrician tomorrow. He always gives us some spare medicine since he knows that our kids travel a lot and we might need them at emergency. I’m out of med now, so it’s time to pay him another visit. Let’s see how well the kids are doing tonight first. Fever always strikes my kids during the night, so if they still have it tonight, we need to bring them to the doctor.

Rachel’s Birthday Party

I thought that we wouldn’t be going to Rachel‘s birthday dinner, but hubby insisted that we went along since we promised the kids days ago before they had their fever. They wanted to go even if they were not feeling too well. We arrived late, but we left early before cake cutting too. With 2 sick kids, it’s best to leave early anyway, and we are glad that Holiday Mummy was ok with that. :)

My kids were unusually quiet and sticked to us all night long too. If it’s one of their regular nights out, they will be playing happily with other children.

Besides that, I noticed that I’ve forgotten to wish Rachel last night. Happy Birthday Rachel! Sorry ya? Aunty blur blur last night and forgot to wish you. :)

Relocating Next Month

We will move to Bangkok with the kids in June and if everything goes well, we will leave on 8th or 9th. Hubby has to start working soon and BIL is renovating a bigger office to allocate some space for him. After that, I think they might have to get some office furniture and source for VoIP phone systems since we might need more phone lines for cheaper international calls.

The kids will be following us to work for the first month until they are ready for their new school. It’s going to be a huge transition for them, so we are taking things slowly. Hopefully, they can pick up the language fast and make some friends at school later. Hopefully, they will adapt well with the new environment.

3 Sickerteers

I got fever 2 days ago, but it subsided now. Besides flu and coughing, I’m doing fine. But last night, Justin started to have fever. He must have got it from me or his cousin who fell sick too a day ago. He had a restless night and so I got up to check his body. He was very hot, and refused to let me measure his temperature accurately. It’s definitely more than 38 deg as that’s the only reading I could get from a wriggling kid.

We fed him paracetamol and put him to sleep again. At 8am, we woke him up and got him ready for school. He had his first exam this morning, so he couldn’t miss it. We told the teacher that we would pink him up after the papers and she couldn’t tell us exactly when would the written and oral tests be done. When I went to school to pick him up, the teacher said they hadn’t done the oral test but I fetched him back. He’s having a temperature again and he’s looking pale. Sigh…poor thing…

Luckily, his temperature went off after taking a shower. But this time, I noticed that Isabelle was having a fever. Gosh, both of them have fever now! So, I have 2 cranky kids who are demanding a lot, and not to mention, they are super clingy to mommy. Sigh…

Anyway, I just hope that they will get well soon.

Another Pick Up Truck

We will either sell of our Ranger or leave it to BIL in Ipoh. We won’t be able to drive the car over to Bangkok anyway, so we will get another car there. Hubby has made up his mind to get a pick up truck by Mitsubishi. I told him in advance that my parking skill is lousy, especially at Bangkok shopping malls where the cars are parked so close to each other and you might even have to push them away to get in the lots. So, it’s going to be hard for me to maneuver the pick up truck at shopping lots.

But having a pick up is definitely most economic as we can use it to send the goods if needed. I’m not sure how much will the car insurance and monthly payment cost, but hubby should have made a thorough calculation before making the decision.

I told him that I will be cacat there in Bangkok because we will only buy one car at the moment. I can’t recognize the routes yet, and he’s not going to let me drive all by myself in the mean time. Takut I sesak jalan and end up in a place where no one can speak English gua… LOL!

But it’s nice to have a “driver”. I can just sit in the car daydreaming, eating, knitting, chatting with the kids or just acting dumb. Shiok…

At Home With Kids

I’m sick. Down with flu again, but this time, I am taking my pills. I don’t want to have an ear infection again!

However, I love how I spent today. I know hubby is pretty busy at his office, so I told myself not to rest until the kids are sleeping. They need me now since we didn’t spend time for 2 weeks.

When Justin’s away at school, I spent the morning with Isabelle. She played with her cousins first, and then she came to me. Like last night, she was keen to play with her toys.

Feeding her baby and horses. She said they were hungry.

When Justin’s back from school, we spent the whole afternoon together. He did his Pooh Bear thumbtack art for a while when Isabelle’s napping. Of course, when both of them were sleeping, I had some time for blogging! :)

The evening was the best. My kids played outside even if it’s really sunny at 5.30pm but they were eager to go out.

It’s play time.

It’s nice to be home!

And I found something great today! Isabelle can pedal already!!! Yippie!!! However, my excitement ended in less than 5 minutes because she was tired of cycling on the tricycle and she wanted to be carried by me.

Isabelle can cycle liao!

I’ve been carrying her since yesterday. I know that she still needs more time to get adjusted with mommy is back and not going away soon. She’s sleeping on my tummy again, just to feel safe and closer to me.

As for Justin, his exam starts on Friday. I don’t know if he knows what’s going on, but I didn’t revise with him today. I thought of letting him have fun and maybe we will just revise tomorrow if his teacher returns the books. If not, mmm…., I will just play some games with him as revision then.

I don’t know what is exam la, I just want to jump over this drain over and over again now…

I’m not expecting him to score with flying colors. As long as he is happy about his “homework” (I told him teacher will give him homework at school just to see if he knows how to do), it’s good enough.

Home Sweet Home

We arrived in Penang yesterday afternoon and our kids greeted us happily there. They refused to let go of us and I was carrying Isabelle almost until bedtime. Same thing goes to Justin who’s clinging on his horse aka hubby. He said can go horsey ride now. LOL!

Both of them must have missed playing with their toys so the moment they stepped in the room, the invaded every corner of the room with their toys. Some of the old toys which were long abandoned were taken out too, but luckily, they were willing to clean up the mess with our help. If not mommy will go insane as I didn’t feel well again. It’s the journey, I think. So, I’m down with flu liao. sigh…

Isabelle insisted that all of us slept together in the same bed last night. She still feels very unsecured. When hubby’s out from her sight, she will ask “papa leh?” Poor thing…

On the other hand, Justin lost a lot of weight and he’s super skinny now. I think I have to get him measured again for his new knit tee and make sure that he eats well. He had fever after eating out with my parents. He wanted to have pizza and hamburgers and after that, he got sick. Then he told my mother, “Popo, I cannot eat out. You cook at home la. I’m sick la…” LOL!

Both of them are happy to see the photos we snapped of the house in Bangkok. Guess what they are really excited about? The purple fleece blankets we bought for them. :)

Of course, hubby lost weight after 2 weeks of shopping and work. I gained weight because I ate too much Thai food and durian. Argh!!! Did I mention that my SIL cooks well? She can really cook!!!

So, I will be back to my detox plan again. No need to get any lipovox la, just eat well and be busy with the kids. They are really clingy since they miss us a lot. So, it’s more about quality family time at the moment.

Omega Watches

I’m leaving for the airport later today, and as usual, I hope that I will check in early so that I can have more time for shopping at duty free. I always buy skincare products there, but maybe I will check out other stuffs like watches too. I haven’t worn a watch for years!

If you are shopping for a watch as well, check out the wide selection of omega watches available at ViaLuxe as you can easily find the collections for men and women, or the functions of the watches. I prefer something that looks sporty yet feminine. But if you can afford it, go for Omega watches with diamonds. However, this website is still in beta stage, so you can’t find all the products yet. Nonetheless, you can read about the news related to Omega watches, and don’t forget to check out the design of Omega Speedmaster 5-Counter Chronograph with the five rings chronograph layout for the coming Olympic Games in Beijing. I like the design as it’s totally sporty.

There is a forum for Omega fans to join in for discussion too. If you like the watches, you might want to find out more about it. I think I will just check out the watches later if I come across them at the airport. I might not be buying any now, but no harm checking them out right?

Going Back Tomorrow

We are going back home tomorrow. The house is almost done, but no matter how many things we bought, it still looks empty and uncompleted. Maybe our kids are not here with us yet, so it doesn’t look complete. Besides that, all our wardrobes are pretty empty even if I’ve brought lots of clothes along. Maybe we still haven’t moved in in full force? If we can manage to bring all our stuffs here, I don’t think we will have enough storage!

We are going back to pack the rest of our stuffs, but this time, we need the help of a moving company such as Boston Moving Company which has a good reputation and reliable. The pricing should be well adjusted too since I hope to move as many books as possible at an affordable price. Besides that, I might bring most of our shoes along, if I can find a way of squeezing them all in a carton box. One of the moving companies said that they charge by 1m3, so I better know how to pack well. BTW, Humboldt Storage and Moving company provides international moving service too, so if you are interested, just check out the link.

Hubby had asked around for quotation, so let’s see which one we will choose later. We have a few more weeks before relocating with the kids. We still have time!

My Kids Room

It’s time to train my kids to sleep in a separate room. I’m not sure if this will work yet, but we bought colorful furniture for them to make the room more attractive.

Blue wardrobe for Justin and a pink one for Isabelle

They will be sharing the same room first, and the other room might be used as their playroom and study corner.

Colorful book shelves

We haven’t bought the study tables and we decided to let them choose by themselves later. I know that both of them like purple, so I found a store which sells purple kids furniture! However, it’s best to let them choose first. There’s no hurry.

I’m yet to get the mini fountain and outdoor furniture, so the garden is not complete yet.

A mini fountain under the trees will be nice huh?

Mmm…more flower plants?

Outdoor furniture here? Or a baby pool?

Bicycle for the kids?

There are still a lot of things to buy and some of the furniture will arrive when we are not around. SIL will help us to receive them so there should not be a problem.
