Outdoor Breakfast

I’ve always wanted to have breakfast outside of my house. I can’t do so in Ipoh as it’s not common to do this back home. My neighbors might think that I’m weird or too free with nothing to do! LOL!

But over here, I noticed that some neighbors like to enjoy their meals outside of their houses. I saw a family having breakfast happily on a weekend, my next door lady boy (ah gua to be) enjoying his (or her) durians on a bench under his tree and some youngsters having friends over for barbecue last Saturday night. Everyone seems to enjoy their garden and food at the same time.

So, this morning, when Justin asked if they could eat outside the house, I happily agreed! They went to the playground before that, and they were too sweaty to sit in for their breakfast. Hubby won’t let them have air-conditioning in the morning, especially after a sweating session at the playground.

We haven’t bought the outdoor furniture, and maybe I will just get some simple table and chairs. No point buying those expensive wooden furniture wan la…Hubby brought out a box from nowhere (maybe storeroom la) and let the kids use it as a mini table. They sat on their stools while I served them their noodles in lotus and groundnuts soup.

It’s fun eating at the terrace.

They liked their breakfast and maybe the morning breeze helped to cool them down too. After breakfast, they played for a little while…

Play golf again? :P

After that, we rushed for bath and getting ready to leave for work. Gosh, we were late again. All of us better get up before 7am if we want to have a relaxing and enjoyable morning.

Keeping My Kids Occupied

As I mentioned before, my kids will either glue to me at the office or mess around disturbing other office staffs. We’ve tried reading, writing with Justin, and also let them learn with Starfall with our laptops. But like most kids, it will be a miracle if they can “sit still” for 15 minutes. Thus, food bribery comes in now.

I know it’s bad to feed them junks, but as you know, junks are pretty common in the office. If we don’t buy any, BIL will also get some. The worst is hubby. He cannot survive without his junkie booster in the afternoon. He will fall asleep without biting those junks!

But I still want to control their junkie intake, thus they can only have a certain amount a day. Both Justin and Isabelle are pretty obedient so far, and they will even hold their junks in their hands and wait for my instruction to eat. LOL!

Mommy said can only eat after my nap

When they are eating, we will have a few minutes of quiet time and it’s best to get things done!

Besides that, they have a playmate at the office too. It’s not their 5-month-old cousin, but a turtle. The turtle was placed there for feng shui purpose, but my kids treat it like a pet.

There goes my afternoon nap…these kids just won’t leave me alone!

I play with you ok?

Other than them taking their 2 hours nap, I’m glad that we have something to keep them occupied. At least hubby can work without disturbance and the office is QUIET!

Edited:

Bad news, my kids can’t play with the turtle anymore. It has feng shui purpose so it cannot “leave” its place. Besides that, Thai people believe that we can’t play with turtles, not good wan woh…

Aiyo, mommy has to think of something liao…

Supermom?

This morning, my SIL said I looked like a supermom. LOL! I laughed like hell as this “title” is too big for my head. :P

I am busier than I used to be in Ipoh, but I didn’t do a good job for the first 2 days. I rant about my kids, I was easily frustrated and I yelled like a freaking mother in the car and scared the hell of my children. I was not ME at all. Gosh, I felt so bad thinking about what I did.

But for the past few days, I felt better and can even sleep until 7am or later. My cooking speed is faster and I plan the meals a day ahead. I manage get things ready faster than I thought and I can even knit while watching series at night!!! Shiok man…Ya, I got more efficient now.

However, there’s another thing to settle….I can’t seem to do a lot at the office because my kids stick to me like glue. They want me to play, read, feed, clean their butts and etc. You know? Those things mothers, maids, nannies and etc do at home? But the location changed!

In conclusion, that’s the thing I’m working on now…..juggling office life and my kids!

Maybe things will get better when the new office floor is ready. My kids will have a room for themselves, and we will get kiddie tables and chairs for them. Of course, there will be lots of toys and books and they can have a bigger mattress for afternoon nap. When they are ready, we will enroll them into a Thai preschool, and they will only be back to the office after 2.

Mmm….hopefully, our plan works well.

Sandy Playground

My neighbors must be wondering why am I spending so much time at the kitchen, even on Saturdays and Sundays. LOL! I have to cook at the time when my kids are napping or watching CD because they want me to bring them to the nearby playground in the evening. I can’t possibly cook at that time.

There are some dogs in my neighborhood, and I really don’t know why the owners don’t tie them up when they are walking the dogs. Thus, my kids really took a big step in walking by themselves as they are afraid of big dogs.

Walking to the playground

They will normally bring along their toy golf set or a ball to play on the grass. They got used to doing so in Ipoh where we have a big compound. But over here, I don’t want them to whack the balls at home, who knows if they might break some windows? :P

The playground is not only a place for kids to play, but it is a place to meet with other mothers too. I found one who speaks very good English, and she stays opposite my house. Both our families share a common point, we leave home in the morning and only come home in the late evening on weekdays. LOL!

I haven’t bought a lot of toys for my kids here, but the other children were generous in sharing their sand toys with my kids.

Playing at the sandpit.

This is so much fun!

In return, Justin loaned them his golf set. :)

If the kids manage to get up before 7am, hubby will bring them to the park too. At least they can still play for a while before coming home for breakfast and leaving to office with us. It’s a bit hard to do this in the evening on work days.

See the recent photos of my kids? Really big boy and big girl liao huh?

Cooking Is Fun

I think I cook all day. LOL! In the morning, it’s about fixing my kids’ lunch to be taken to the office. Then once we reach home from work, it’s preparing dinner in turbo speed again. Before I go to bed, I might defrost some meat or prepare the porridge with slow cooker. Sipeh busy in the kitchen only. LOL!

But by the end of the day, I get my little reward from Justin who will say this…

Mommy, thanks for cooking for me and mei mei.

Enough liao. That’s good enough to be so busy in the kitchen.

Storing Your Stem Cell

I’m one of those women who has PMS, but not the severe type. I don’t know why but my temper is really bad during those days, and you better don’t step on my tail. LOL! I will try my best to let my kids spend more time with hubby because I know that I won’t be as patience as I used to be. It is best not to scold them over a simple thing and let them wonder why mommy is being so grumpy!

But then again, while we are complaining how inconvenient it is to have menses, do you know that stem cell can be taken from menstrual fluid now? Just find out All About C’elle to know about this technology, and if you are interested to keep your stem cell for future use, if any, you can about this option. Besides that, you can also Become C’elle Distributor and make a living by introducing the program to other women.

But I guess we have geographical constrain about this, so not everyone can Become C’elle Distributor ok?

Still Busy…

I am so busy here in Bangkok and even if we have a part time maid who comes and clean up the house for us everyday, I’m still as busy as a bee! Thank god I have only 2 children, if I have more, I don’t think I can handle all of them now.

Besides that, the education fee is so expensive for expatriates, we will have to think twice before getting another baby. On top of that, how about the cost of clothes, food, insurance or stuffs like stem cell storage? We did it for Isabelle, so we might do the same for the next baby, if there is any.

Frankly, if you can afford it, why miss the chance of storing the stem cell of your baby? Thus, if you are interested, check outthe “Protect Baby, Protect Mom” Special Limited-Time Introductory Offer by Cryo-Cell’s “Protect Baby, Protect Mom”. Just hop to Cryo-Cell Innovative Stem Cell Solutions to know more about this.

I wonder if cord blood bank is popular in Bangkok? I don’t think my little niece has hers stored.

A Day At Home

Justin hurt his foot yesterday. I’m not sure what happened as I was getting ready to go out to the market. We came back early yesterday, and since the market here opens in the evening, we went there after coming back home.

Hubby said he kicked something accidentally and he was complaining how painful it was. Hubby carried him but he didn’t notice anything. When I got out from the house, I saw blood all over the patio and then only we realized how bad the cut was. We cleaned his wound and gave him a simple dressing. I didn’t pack along our first aid kit, so we rushed as fast as possible to the market as well as getting the kit from Tesco.

Justin hurt his foot badly…

We spent the whole day at home while hubby went out to work for half a day. My kids really enjoyed being at home and they could have their sweet time watching DVDs, munching on snacks, enjoying their lunch and taking a sweet afternoon nap in their bedroom.

Justin did his Chinese writing today…

Isabelle was busy with her cooking set

I guess it’s much better than spending time at the office huh? But what to do? We just can’t leave the kids alone… Anyway, I think it’s best for them to stay with us. We will do our best to take good care of them and make sure that they have as much attention as possible too. We brought floats for them days ago, and hopefully, they will have a chance to take a dip at the swimming pool soon. No point bringing along the swimwear but keep it in the closet huh?

We enjoyed watching the bees in our garden!

A busy bee in my garden

In short, it’s great to spend a day at home!

Gifts for Special Ones

I maybe very far away from my home now, but I still remember those special days of my love ones which I hope to celebrate. I didn’t give my mum anything for Mother’s Day and the same goes to my father on Father’s Day. I was too busy with my own stuffs and I didn’t prepare anything this year. Frankly, I forgot all about Father’s Day and didn’t wish my dad when we were back in Penang that weekend!

I should have thought of getting them baskets gift of flowers since there are some florist shops which provide free delivery too. I used to get those baskets gift from hubby when we were dating, that’s why I knew about this.

But my mum will not like it if I give her flowers. She said cash is the best present as she can use it on whatever she wants. LOL! However, I know that she will love to get one of those gourmet baskets gift since she loves cooking. Like some mothers, I hope to get something special on Mother’s Day too, but my kids are too young to buy me anything. The only gift I got was a card made by Justin last year, and I still cherish it a lot. I wonder whey will I get myself a gift basket full of Crabtree and Evelyn products? :)

Hopefully, I will be able to make a trip back home next month. This time, I will probably get my parents some gift from Bangkok.

Counseling

I think there would be some point of a time when we will feel so helpless and despair. I have my bad times too, but I’m glad that I can talk things out with my friends and hubby, and my parents are always there to support me. They don’t only provide a comforting shoulder for me, but they will provide me some valuable advices too.

If you really can’t find anyone to talk about your problems, talking to a professional counselor or psychologist might be a good option. Most of them provide professional values counseling, but just make sure that you find the help from the certified ones. For those who are looking for a counselor in North America, check out the directory of licensed counselors and psychologies at Theravive.com. These professionals provide values counseling for those who are seeking for help in their personal lives, marriage, career and anything which bothers them in life. Counseling may provide a non-judgmental solution to them when they are dealing with those issues.

Furthermore, not everyone feels good about confining their inner thoughts with those people who are close with them. So, if you feel better talking to a therapist, check out the list of counselors and psychologists at Theravive.com.
