Saturday Afternoon at Chao Phraya
I admit that we can hardly bring our kids around because we are busy during the weekdays, but last weekend, we managed to spend some quality time with the kids. We had an extended lunch hour on Saturday (ya, we work on Saturdays) and brought the kids out for lunch and catfish feeding at Chao Phraya.
Hubby and I came to this stall on our previous trip, but not with our kids. We know that they will surely like this place as the grilled meat balls and tomyam are not only delicious, and you can also enjoy the river’s view at your table.

My kids hardly ate as they had taken their home cook lunch at the office. They were busy watching the little fishes in the water and kept asking when are they going to see the bigger fish!

You guys eat faster la, we want to see the big fish!
If you are traveling to Bangkok, don’t miss catfish feeding. I think most kids will love to feed the catfish, and you will be amazed at how these big fishes fighting for food.

You might get wet if the fishes are fighting vigorously, so my kids not only enjoyed feeding the fish, they enjoyed yelling and running away from the water too. LOL! The fishes are there for religious purpose, so don’t even think about catching them ok?

Mei mei, I’ll show you how…
Isabelle was pretty scared at first, but Justin and hubby assured her that it’s ok to stay near the rails. Hubby helped her in feeding the catfish too because she couldn’t throw the fish food far enough.
After feeding 2 buckets of fish food, we left the riverside to a nearby restaurant for coconut ice-cream.
Oh ya, don’t forget to try the coconut ice-cream too if you are traveling to Thailand.

Caroline, if you are here in Bangkok, just visit any of those temples by the river. I found that a lot of the riverside temples have catfish feeding too. But this place we went is in Pathum Thani.
