My kids are very playful and active. I love to see them playing around, but when they start to get over excited, things can be pretty bad. Isabelle likes to play with her beach ball in the house, and she loves to kick it around. I don’t mind her kicking it into the Soccer Goals, but she prefers to kick it into the bathroom! I’m more concerned when she picks up the ball from the bathroom as it maybe very slippery sometimes. But I guess as long as we are being watchful and ask her to walk on the anti-slip mat, she will be fine. She’s using the toilet on her own now, so I should be less paranoid.

But for Justin, he has just learned a new game yesterday. He likes to throw the ball up to the ceiling and if it hits the ceiling, he will be very proud of himself. I nagged at hubby about introducing this game to him, but he said Justin is old enough to differentiate the soft balls from the harder ones. O.o

Sometimes, I know why my children prefer to play with their daddy. He is more lenient and adventurous with them while I’m more paranoid. Our house is not as big as the one in Ipoh so they can’t play indoor like they used to be. It’s just too bad that the sun sets as earlier as 6pm now, so my kids can’t go out and play when they reach home. They just miss playing and having fun.

  1. generally, mummies are more panicky & always on the "protection" mode with the kids

  2. Jasmine, ya, that’s why I’m not a fun playmate for them anymore. :P
