I didn’t let my kids eat in the car when we stayed in Ipoh. I hate messy cars, and you can’t imagine how messy MIL’s car is because the cousins eat in it. Gosh, got cockroaches one you know? LOL!

But over here, I have to let go of this rule. It’s impossible for them to stay in the car for more than an hour without food. That’s why I have to prepare bentos loh…

Justin doesn’t have problem helping himself, as long as I prepare finger food.

Enjoying my food!

But for Isabelle, she tends to drop this and that. Thus, when I found that Hello Kitty meal tray from Allthingspurple, I know that I have to get one for her. I can just buy one from NST, but I still haven’t received my pre-ordered stuffs, so I don’t know how long will I wait for the tray. But last weekend, I found a small shop selling lots of Sanrio’s stuffs. I was so happy to find the meal tray there and thus I bought one. It’s more expensive that the selling price from NST, but I saved up on shipping fee of USD10.

Hello Kitty Meal Tray

See how easy Isabelle eat in the car now?

No need to hold the lunch box liao…

Enjoying her finger food.

Justin asked me to get one for him yesterday, but hubby said DEFINITELY NO HELLO KITTY for his boy. LOL! So, I might have to look for another meal tray for him, probably from Thomas The Train, but I will have to wait long long time for it, if I get one from NST. So, if you have any idea where can I get a meal tray in Bangkok or Penang, let me know ya?

  1. ooh…the hello kitty lunch tray is so nice!!!

  2. wow..now bento stuff also got a tray? Cool…

  3. Hey, you found it in Bangkok !! Good for you. It’s better than waiting isn’t it? Sometimes I got things from ebay too just cos I couldn’t wait.

And tell me about it, my kids spend a lot of their time following me around in the car. Need to eat in the car too. You know, it helps if you get those long mat to cover up the seat. After every journey, you just fold it and shake it off on the ground. I got 3 sets of those that I change every now and then for laundry. I put one over their feet on the flooring to catch food bits too.

  4. Jasmine, ya, I love it!

Khongfamily, it’s very convenient if the kids have to eat in the car often. Get one too! LOL!

Allthingspurple, get from ebay? I have to find out then, it’s so hard to find the things I want from stores sometimes. And thanks for the tips on using the long mat. I think I will drop by the auto shop and check out the stuffs. They have lots of Hello Kitty car accessories here, but I wonder if hubby will let him decor his car like that. LOL!

  5. It’s good you can drive there… I remembered last time I used to stay in Bagna for few months as hubby was there for 1 year, the traffic was scary…………..

  6. WOW this looks very cool. how does it works? it attaches to the back of the front seat? I wonder whether I can get one here.

  7. I was contemplating of getting the Thomas try too as that was the only ‘boy’ item I can find thus far! It is a bit pricey and if it is not used all the time like Christene then it would be a waste of money…

Then again we don’t go for long drives that often now so not sure if that of any purpose now.

  8. Vivianz, I only drove in Bang Na once and I told hubby that it’s once and for all. LOL! The traffic is so bad there.

4malmal, I got this in Bangkok, but there is an online store selling it. Check out http://nst.my.

Angeleyes, don’t get it unless your boy eats often in the car. We travel a lot, so it’s useful to Isabelle. But as kids grow up, I think they won’t really need one.
