Wordless Wednesday: Justin’s Power Ranger Birthday Cake

My Kids’ Sick Leave

My kids had their first sick leave in Bangkok yesterday. They basically slept through the whole morning, and then another nap in the afternoon. Once they got up from their second nap, they felt much better and ate their bento meals. I could see that they had slowly regained their appetite, especially Isabelle who went to the fridge every few minutes looking for food! When she asked me if she could have jelly, I asked her if she wanted to vomit again? LOL! My smart girl quickly said “No, I don’t want (to) vomit. No jelly, no sweet, no jellybeans, no biscuit.” Then…”Mommy, I want yogurt.” LOL! She’s definitely back to her old self.

I will just let them eat well and as much as they want, if they can take it. Both of them lost so much weight in the past 3 days, and if you want to lose weight fast without diet pills, just go for tummy flu or food poisoning. LOL! But I warn you ya? It’s very suffering wan la…

After tea, we went cycling.

Isabelle can cycle very well now. Pardon the pajama pants ya? But she likes the pants, which was sewn by paternal grandmother.

As usual, Justin cycled so fast, he totally ignored me!

The kids headed to the playground, which is packed with other children in the evening.

Isabelle brought along her sand toys

Justin was more interested in climbing up and down at the playground

Then, a little girl joined in the sandpit and started playing with their toys.

I asked Isabelle to share her toys, and she obliged. But then, this little girl started snatching the toys from Isabelle and Justin. She’s like one of those kids who like to take anything which is taken, maybe she thought that their toys were more interesting. I kept telling my kids to let go, and don’t fight back.

The girl’s mother was there, I thought she would tell her girl to stop. But what do you know…She din say anything! :P

After being snatched for a few times, Isabelle got angry and this time, she approached the girl and snatched back her belongings. I tell you, I was a bit worried that Isabelle will push the girl and Justin will gang up with her. Manatau, they didn’t do it la…Maybe they had just gained their energy, so they also “bo chap“.

Since the girl couldn’t have the toys, she went for Isabelle’s bike. Check out Isabelle, she kept looking at the girl and telling me that “Mommy, she got my bike!!! My Kitty Cat bike!” LOL! She kept shouting to the girl, “Mai dai (cannot), mai ao (don’t want), mai dai…” Funnily, the mom just did nothing and kept feeding the girl cheese. :P If I’m not there to ask Isabelle not to fight back, I think my girl will hit her already. hahaha!

In the end, my kids wanted to leave the playground and they played with our neighbor’s kids. Justin learned badminton from the big koh koh, but most of the time, he’s just picking the shuttlecock la…Then a few other kids joined in and Justin met some new friends yesterday. These children go to bilingual schools, and they can speak simple English with him while Justin conversed in Thai. It’s nice to see him making new friends now. As for Isabelle, she played with another 3-year-old girl, but they hardly talked! LOL!

I guess my kids will ask me to go home earlier so that they can play with the kids in our neighborhood. But too bad, I have a feeling that we can only reach home after sunset.

Kids Feeling Better

We are going for an all inclusive vacation this weekend, and I’m glad that both my kids have recovered from their tummy flu. They are back to their normal selves and started eating, but not going back to their full appetite yet. I guess my gal learned a lesson as she hardly gets sick, and now she knows how it feels to be sick and how vomiting feels like. All the while, it’s only Justin who falls sick, but not her. I wonder if she has stronger immunity since she was breastfed longer than Justin?

Justin birthday falls tomorrow, and he’s happy that he can go back to school. He’s celebrating his birthday with his friends, and he’s very excited about it. If you are wondering if we get him any birthday present, oh well, hubby got this the Winnie the Pooh watch he’s been asking for, but I haven’t bought my gift yet. Should I get him a silver pendant? :)

But then, I knitted him a new tee which he hasn’t worn before, and that can be a birthday present from mommy.

Standardized Password

Someone (you know who you are :) ) gave me a suggestion of using the same password for my protected post so that I don’t have to email everyone about the new password every time. So, I might do so for the coming password protected post, which might be posted after our trip to the beach this weekend. I feel that all my password protected posts are very lengthy, so if you don’t like to read a very keong hei post, please let me know so that I can exclude your email from my list.

I guess once the password is sent out, I will only inform those on my list if the password would be changed from time to time. Most of you are wondering why did I do so for my post now, and it’s all for Justin. Besides that, most of my posts about places in Bangkok can be easily found by visitors who drop by from search engines, and I don’t feel good about getting more and more strangers to my blog. I’m not those wishing for traffic and adsense, especially not from this blog. :P

Then again, I don’t think everyone on my list will read the blog, so I really don’t mind if you want your email excluded. Please let me know ya? Thanks!!!

Tummy Flu? Food Poisoning?

My kids hardly get sick, especially Isabelle. Her sick record is like once a year, and I’m not kidding you. But on Saturday, Justin threw up his milk at breakfast, and we thought he’s just having some tummy discomfort. On our way to the office, Justin threw up again. Twice! Then Isabelle’s turn. TWICE! So, can you imagine how messy and smell the car is? Luckily they covered themselves with my shawls and most of thing messy stuffs were on the shawls, and I could bid bye bye to my newly bought shawls already.

We headed back home. I bathed the kids while hubby settled the mess in the car. The kids were so tired after their bath, they wanted to take a nap. So, they basically slept through the morning, woke up at noon, but didn’t want to eat anything. Justin asked for milk, and I gave them. It’s a big mistake as he ended up vomited in the toilet. Isabelle threw up also. Gosh, that moment, I really hoped that I have a maid at home to help out as hubby went back to work. So much work la…

Again, the kids slept in the afternoon in empty stomachs. They were too scared to eat anymore. I told hubby brought back some yogurt and probiotic drinks, but mana tau, Justin threw up everything too, after he took them. Isabelle, upon seeing her koh koh vomited like that, she decided that she would go on fasting too. LOL! This is her first experience in tummy flu, so she is pretty scared about it.

But the irony thing is, when she threw up on the floor, and as I was busy cleaning up, I scolded her and asked her to do it at the toilet bowl so that mommy won’t have to clean up the mess. I was rather p*ssed after cleaning a million times, so I lost my patience.

Then last night, when we gave the kids their medication, Isabelle refused to eat since she seldom takes medicine, so it’s not easy for her. She said that she wanted to vomit and away she ran to the toilet bowl, put her head down and threw up! LOL! Both hubby and I were surprised and amazed at how well she managed to control and go to the toilet. Most little kids will just throw up anywhere if they feel like it, but she could run to the toilet! Amazing. Both hubby and I praised her and said well done.

This morning, both of them stopped throwing up, but woke up rather tired. Not only the kids, both parents are tired too as we hardly slept last night.

Isabelle couldn’t get on her chair.

Justin lying on the sofa, instead of having breakfast.

They didn’t take their breakfast, and hubby and I discussed if they should go to school. As we told the kids to change into their uniform, we were still talking about it! Then, hubby found Justin fell asleep on his bed, in his uniform! Isabelle was lying on my bed, still in pajamas, but deep asleep already. LOL!

So, we had our answer. Both of them will skip school today and have more rest. They are very skinny now, without much food in 2 days. No need fat burners also lost a lot of weight already.

What Am I Doing?

Most of the people at the office are clueless about what I do every working day. I don’t have a job title, and I only do those stuffs as required by hubby. So, most of the time, they will only see me typing and surfing and chatting online. LOL! Maybe I should tell them about my blogs huh? But I doubt they will read it.

Nonetheless, I couldn’t care less about their thoughts as I’m pretty busy this month. We have to restructure the website again, and it’s going to take me some time to come out with the website contents and graphic. I better check out these data protection solutions to backup my files and protect our customer data too. Currently, I’m still using CDs, and there are already a few CD scattering around in my drawer. Sigh….I’m so unorganized!

Let me go through all the product details and photos first. I really need some time to go through the info before producing the contents. I think the office staffs will be wondering why am I so busy again suddenly and I’m clued to the laptop all day long. Never mind la, this time I will tell them to go to the company’s website, once it’s done!

Isabelle’s Face

I have been thinking if I should post about Isabelle’s face because my parents might get worried about her, and they will be very “sum thong” with her. See for yourself…

Bruises between and under her eyes, and a tiny scratch on the lower left of her face.

She didn’t fall badly, but she was accidentally hurt by us. Argh!!!

When we were in Korat, my ring accidentally scratched her face and she “lost a tiny piece of her skin”, exposing the pinkish flesh underneath. You should be able to imagine how painful it is, for a little girl. Furthermore, it’s windy and cold in Korat, so the cold air might also “sting” her wound. She was screaming and crying in the hotel garden, and no matter how hard I tried to pacify her, she wouldn’t stop crying. So, we walked back to the hotel to look for hubby who’s at the lobby washroom, and Justin rushed in to look for papa. He pushed the door to the gents, but didn’t see Isabelle following closely behind. When he released the heavy glass door, the door slammed on Isabelle’s face. She got hurt again and got herself a nice bungalow on the forehead. Sigh…No wonder she’s in such a bad mood the whole day, she’s in pain la…

That explains why I hardly wear accessories because I don’t want to hurt my kids accidentally, and be all guilty about it.

On Monday night, Justin cried from his sleep and woke up us. Hubby rushed to their room and got in bed with them in the dark. He couldn’t see well and accidentally scratched Isabelle’s face again, and that explained how she get the bruises under her eyes. Like kena abused like that huh? Sigh…

The next morning, everyone at school and  our office was wondering why she looked like that. Some thought Justin hit her. LOL! But actually, it’s the clumsy parents who hurt her leng lui face, aiyo…Guilty as charged…

Shopping at Platinum Fashion Mall, Ya, Again…

I had a bad headache all of a sudden yesterday morning, maybe it’s due to staying up late the night before watching 2 movies with hubby. These days, I can’t stay up late. No more night owl for me, if not I will surely wake up blur blur for the whole day. But I didn’t want to disappoint the kids as we told them that we would go shopping, so thank god the paracetamol helped a lot and my headache was gone when we reached Platinum Fashion Mall.

As usual, this place was packed with shoppers. It took us awhile to find a parking lot. Once we parked our car, we went to the food court first. The pad thai kung (prawn) here is very nice! Then, we started shopping. Honestly, I don’t think we bought a lot, as comparing to our previous trips to Platinum. Maybe I’ve bought a lot of clothes already, and we don’t really need much now.

Isabelle busy sorting out her new purchases

So, what did we buy?
For Isabelle:

A white cotton dress. I love to get dresses for her.

A Thai traditional set, and she looks very cute in her first set, thus we bought her another set.

She’s in love with Marie the Cat lately

Isabelle’s hair accessories, I can never stop myself from buying more.

She chose something like Crocs Jibbitz, in Hello Kitty and Melody, which can be placed on her Crocs sandals

For myself, I bought a long maxi dress. Really dunno where and when can I wear that. LOL! Besides that, I bought some socks, belts, shawls, and tees and shorts.

Can bring these to the beach next week

Mommy is crazy about shawls lately

My new bling bling belts

I didn’t get clothes for Justin because we couldn’t find the Power Ranger clothes he wanted. Maybe next time. But like Isabelle, he chose some “Jibbitz” too.

Justin wanted dolphins and seahorses

My kids got some spring toys.

Cute or not? Wholesale price is only about RM15 or less

But what really puzzled me is hubby agreed to buy this for Justin…

Justin bought this giraffe cap

How is he going to wear this giraffe cap? For gai gai ah? LOL!
