This and That

A few things turned up unexpected lately, so I’m trying my best to stay cool and cope with it.

Firstly, hubby found his preferred school for Justin, which is way much cheaper than most international schools. It’s an international within a university community, which is meant for the kids of master degree or Phd students, and only limited vacancy is open for “outsiders” like us. Some said it’s quite hard to get in, but my expat friend said they’ll take outsiders too, but we just have to pay slightly more than the “insider kids”. The school looks old to me, and not well facilitated, I mean, as comparing to other international schools I’ve visited. But then, with the price we will be paying…err…I can’t say much. :P

The thing is, it sounds like school lunch s*cks and I have to pack tea and lunch for my kids next time, and I will be very very busy preparing food, sending lunch and etc. Sigh…I’ll see how I can cope later…Driving around like nuts! LOL! *Luluk, i pergi rumah u more often. Pinjam microwave oven. :P *

Another thing is, hubby is going back next week and I’ll be home alone with the kids. I’ve WARNED them to be good, and be very good as mommy will be one leg kick for a week. So, let’s cooperate and don’t let mommy have high blood pressure, especially you Isabelle! LOL!

Besides that, I’m flying back with the kids by the end of September, right after the kids term exam. They will have a month break and hubby agreed not to let them join the holiday camp, which is more expensive than the flight tickets home. :P Besides that, we plan to visit my maternal grandpa, who is in critical condition now. So I really want to make a trip home to see him.

To my friends back home, I shall try to meet up if possible. So let’s see how ya? I don’t have a car la!!! And maybe I will stay at my grandpa’s place for awhile, if there is room for us. The kids and I will make a short stay in Ipoh too since they miss their cousins a lot.

But firstly, I need to settle the internet connection in Penang once I reach home. I wonder if my wireless router is still around? LOL!

Ah…so many things are running in my head now…

Wen, ya, I hope so. Stressed!

CY, only “poor” expats like us understand the “cost of education” here. LOL! Joanna is going to school next term or not? :P Gee…Really got to make more money huh?

Yeah, it’s kinda hard to find school for children in the foreign land. I started searching out for since since my boy was one year old :P I wish you a happy and hassle-free trip back home in September :)

  5. I can feel your stress. We live quite far from Ian’s kindie so I have 4 hrs to kill at either Old Town, McD or KFC everyday before his class is over. I have to beat the crazy jam everyday just to get him to the kindie. Thank god we will move closer to his primary school before school begins next year.

Hey, despite all those less happy news, I’m happy for you that you get to travel back soon. Please have a fantastic holiday and I hope that better options show up soon for your kids’ education. =D

Like the ‘one leg kick’ expression! ;P
