Lilypie Kids Birthday tickersLilypie 4th Birthday Ticker

September 28th, 2009 by shoppingmum

My brother and I are only 2 years apart and we used to be very close when we were young. At good times, we would share our toys, talk to each other, and play together. But at bad times, we would fight and curse and say the worst thing to one another. Are we like most siblings? LOL!

Some times, when I look at my own kids, it brings back the memories between me and my brother. But as we grew up and lived apart, we were not as close as we were. Nonetheless, we still catch up with one another, once in a while.

But after we moved to Bangkok, we hardly meet or talk. He’s super busy with his work, and I don’t call him much as I know him too well, he will only answer if “necessary”. LOL!

We had a misunderstanding recently, but I guess it’s sorted out now. At least I know that he called my uncle to ask about my grandpa, if not, I will be really p*ssed with him. He said he’s super busy again, so I will try to understand that.

For me, when there is a “misunderstanding or conflict”, it’s best to talk it out. If not, things will get worse, even if it’s cooled off for too long. :P

  1. My bro and I are also 2 years apart and he is also super busy. Imagine he is here in Penang but has no time to meet. Anyhow I will tried to be persistent to invite him for dinner.

Hahaha…we used to argue a lot over petty stuff but never get into big fights or anything. We tried to forgive and forget. My mom always tell me not to be so “chap cheok” and swallow our pride. Taking her good advice.

  2. my bro n I also 2 years apart. I once wrote a very long email when we had a big misunderstanding between us… He is also a kind of a very few words, and I am also not very good in speaking directly…. so I put what I want to say in words…. and I do feel better after I wrote it down… We tend to argue less as we get older…

  3. since everyone talk bout their bro, i also i wanna kaypoh lar…hehehe. my bro n i r 4 yrs apart n we r not close at all. bcoz of him, i kenot play as often w my neighbour anymore. got to help my mom yau-yau himin the sarong. so i dont like to hv any siblings since then.

  4. Wah, all got brother issue here? LOL!
Seriously la, the thing with siblings is, you can’t tolerate everything about them, but still, the blood tie is there. So, if there is a conflict, then really take all parties to “swallow” or split it out and solve it. As long as it doesn’t involve their life partners, if not lagi susah. LOL! Never ending in-law issues. haha!
