Busy Morning

Hubby had an early appointment at a customer’s site, which is very far away from our place. Thus, he planned to take the cab at 7 am to meet up with his sales staff at the office. Nonetheless, our morning began with a few hiccups and chaos. *roll eyes*

Firstly, Justin wet his bed. It’s the first time in many months! So, both kids moved to my bed while hubby got ready to go to work. Who knows? After hubby went off, Isabelle wet my bed!!! So, there was a lot of washing and cleaning up jobs in the early morning.

Then, when I was busy preparing breakfast and getting the kids ready for school, I realized that hubby took the car key! So, I made a call immediately and hubby came back to pass me the key. Needless to say, he’s late for work. In fact, he’s very late for his appointment! LOL!

Luckily, my housekeeper is coming today, so I asked for her help to settle the sheets. I was running out of time to handle 2 beds!

I love to keep a few more sets of bedding, just in case. But then, I’m out of storage space in my wardrobe. I would love to know how others keep their bedding? They are quite bulky and occupy a lot of space! Before we moved here, I had at least 4 adult bedding sets and a few more Baby Bedding Sets for changing. Justin used to regurgitate a lot, so I needed to change his bed quite frequently, even if he just slept in the cot during the day nap. Most of the bedding sets are bought during sales, so they are less costly than their normal prices. If you are looking for handmade baby crib bedding sets, check out the link ya? The set comes with 12 matching pieces, so it should be great for your nursery.

Now that our kids are older, they have 2 sets of kiddie bedding each. Gee…I wonder if I should get more? Let’s hope that they won’t wet their beds again!

Picking Up Daddy…

Hubby called and told me that he will arrive in Bangkok this evening, and I suggested that we pick him up and go for dinner later. After hanging up the phone, I told Justin about my plan, but I added, “Mmm….I’m not sure if I know the way to the airport. We might get lost.”

Immediately, Justin picked up my phone and called hubby, “Papa, when you reach the airport and you take a taxi to come back by yourself. Mommy don’t (doesn’t) know the way, and I don’t want her to get lost.”

Gee…how sweet. LOL! I was so touched. LOL!

Dental Visit

I felt like going for cleaning and whitening my teeth. Blame it on the coffee I have over the years! Gee…I can’t leave without my cup of coffee everyday but I hate how it stains my teeth over time.

I should check out the dental discounts at some dental clinic next week. I shall compare the price first and see if it’s worth to be done here or back home.

When Daddy is Away…

I’m glad to say that…we are doing quite well without daddy’s around! LOL! The kids behave better, and even if they do make my blood boils some times, but less frequent and less “vomit blood” as comparing hubby’s around in the house. I guess…they don’t have “kao san”, so they better behave well. LOL!

I have a good time resting at home when the kids are at school. Besides that, I went for Thai massage and I did my hair, so I am enjoying every moment of it! :)

I don’t cook much for dinner and the kids came out with their menu of noodles with soup, spaghetti bolognese, macaroni and cheese and etc. They eat better, and they are so happy that we are not having rice with dishes! Oh well, they are just like the mommy, who’s not a keen rice eater. :P It’s less frustrating at meal times as Isabelle eats better and she has recovered from food strike.

The only thing I have to make sure every night is whether I lock all the doors, turn on the outdoor lighting, close all the windows and curtains before calling it a day. These are hubby’s duties, so I hardly bother about it when he’s around. :P Luckily, we are staying in a gated community, which is quite safe. Thus, I don’t worry that much.

The only downside of hubby being away is, the kids call him more often and I’m sure that we will be paying more on phone bills!

Bedtime Reading

We started reading to Justin when he was about 3 months old. Then, he liked Peter and Jane book 1A when he’s slightly older and I had to repeat the same book for close to an hour every night for a few months! Not to mention, he liked the same book at nap time too! That’s his favorite book until Isabelle came along.

Isabelle has a different preference for books. She likes big books with colorful pictures. Since she was a baby, she likes us to ask her “where is xxx” and she will point to the objects.

It’s quite boring to me after repeating the same books over and over again for 2 kids who are taking their turns every night, but then, I’m glad that they love books. Some day, they will be like other kids who love PS3 or computer games, but I really hope that reading will be one of their hobbies.

Now that they are older, I SET only 2 books for each kid. They can pick any book of their choice for bedtime reading, but only limited to 2 books. The main reason is, Justin’s books are getting thicker with more words, and by the time I finish his books, my throat will be all dry!

Hubby will help to read to Justin while I read to Isabelle, but some times, Justin prefers mommy to do all the reading. If I’m reading, both of them can share a total of 4 books and I will get a sore throat in no time. LOL!

Since hubby is not around these few days, the kids sleep in my room on an extra bed. This is what they do every night…

They get some of their favorite books from their playroom and arrange them nicely on my bed. If I’m too busy getting changed or preparing their milk, they will help themselves with the books first. Isabelle is definitely looking at the pictures, but Justin can read some words from a few Dr Suess books already. Nonetheless, he still loves to look at the pictures.

Justin’s reading the book he got from school library.

The kids lend books from their school library almost everyday. If so, I only permit them to pick one book each from their own collection. Mommy only reads 4 books before bedtime! LOL! I know, I’m so lazy. I should not permit the number of books but then, if I don’t, it’s like never ending reading until dunno what time!

So, I hope that Justin can read by himself in a few years, then I can “retire” a bit. LOL! By then, we will start teaching them Chinese. Everyone’s complaining that my kids can’t speak Chinese!!!
