Phuket and Similan Island Trip

Hi there! We are back!!! It’s only 3 days away to Phuket and Similan Islands and it’s toooooo short for us. But then, this is a budget trip so we can’t afford to spend sooooo many days on the pearl of Andaman. Nonetheless, we had a great time, and photos are uploaded in FB already, so go take a peep. :P

Here’s a summary of our trip:

Day 1:

We reached Phuket at about 1pm and rushed to Ramada Resort. Everyone got changed and rushed for a quick bite at Mcd, before going to Marriott for family photo shooting. Yeap, we had some photos taken by Aaron, and I can’t wait to see them.

Of course, we had some hiccups here, like hubby lost his ring, and then his Crocs (but later found by Aaron). After dinner, everyone called it a day as we were all so tired…

Day 2:

Got up very early to Similan Islands. It’s a national park, so I LOVE IT!!! It’s not as commercial as Phi Phi, and if you really like nature and well preserved islands, go to Similan or Surin. Worth the diamonds $$$ and time spent on boat, I tell you!

Don’t ask me where she learned to pose like this….

Justin’s first snorkeling trip. He’s so happy to see jellyfish, clown fish, coral reefs and other sea creatures.

Day 3:

Spent the day at Karon beach and Ramada Resort only. We didn’t have plan to go for a tour in the town, so the kids spent some time at the Kidz Club.

Justin’s at Karon beach.

Isabelle had a great time at Ramada’s Kidz Club.

In short, it’s a nice trip but 3 days is indeed too short. I would love to go there again and my kids can’t agree more.

Mommy’s Birthday

Hubby planned to celebrate my birthday at Millennium Hilton last weekend, and all of us had a great time there. Isabelle loves the suite so much, she insisted that we should stay in the room most of the time. LOL!

We basically spent the whole time here, and the kids love the pool and the sand. It’s nice to have SAND in the city!

If you are wondering if I get any pressie from hubby, the answer is NO. I got nothing but a great weekend with my family, and it’s more worthy than a nice handbag. LOL! But of course, a nice gift will complete everything, but judging from my many years with hubby, he can’t get the right gift. He might just buy anything that comes in his eyes, or persuaded by the salesperson. Luckily, so far he didn’t get me truck accessories or any funny thing, if not I really have to piak his head jor…

More photos are shared in FB, and I’m getting very lazy in posting photos here. Really no paid post money no mood to blog that much jor. LOL!

Not Insured Yet!

We are already here for the second year, but we haven’t got our local insurances yet. I hope that I can just get any online life insurance easily, but I hate to read about insurance. It’s so bl*rdy confusing.

I really feel that we should cancel off our old premiums, which do not cover our medical here in Thailand. The life term is the only thing that works in the old premium, but for what la, if anything happens, we have to fork out our own money for hospitalization, just like what I had last time. Sendiri punya wang….

Ben 10 Freak

Justin is sooooo into Ben 10 lately, and he basically occupies the TV, tuning to Ben 10 for hours on Saturdays. Isabelle makes a lot of noises that she can’t watch Playhouse Disney anymore as kor kor always watches Ben 10. She said Ben 10 and the aliens are scary and it’s all fighting and fighting, so it’s bad. LOL! I love to see her annoying face when she complains about Ben 10. Maybe hubby should check out those plasma tvs on sale and get another TV for his princess so that she can watch some TV too. Poor girl, TV is only allowed in the weekend and she can’t have her chance. :P

Besides that, Justin wears the Ben 10 Omnitrix to school everyday. He said he feels stronger and can run faster with it. O.o He’s been eying on the toy for months and my mom got it for him. He’s so happy with it, and he always keep it well before going to bed. Hopefully, he’s not going to lose it!

As for his coming birthday, he has requested a Ben 10 cake. Thank god I found a friend who can bake here. I think he will love his cake, since Ben 10 is on it. :)

Great Weekend

Our weekends are all packed this month, and we have just got a nice one last week. We were invited to a food fair by a expat friend here, and the kids had a jolly good time eating and playing with some friends. Photos are up in my Facebook, so if you allowed to view the photos, you can see them there. :P

Here’s a clip on how happy our little girl was, dancing with her friend.

She maybe too young for clubbing, but she’s a dancing queen in making. LOL! The same goes to my Indonesian friend’s daughter. She can really shake!

Then, last night, we had dinner at another expat’s apartment. Her place is so nice, I wish I have a unit in Sukhumvit. LOL! But these hi-so (high society :P ) units are very expensive, so I can only dream long long…in my sleep, if I am not awaken up by the alarm clock!

In short, one nice weekend is gone and 2 more to come!!!

She Cut Her Hair, AGAIN!

Yeap, you got the title right! My little princess decided to give herself another haircut, by herself, after seeing daddy trimming his hair in the bathroom the other day. I got a bad feeling when I overheard her telling hubby that she wanted to cut her hair too, so I kept all the scissors away. But last Saturday, she had cut and paste homework and she did the homework with hubby. Hubby trusted his little princess too much, and just let her keep the scissors on her rack.

When I was busy taking a shower the next morning, our little girl decided to trim her fringe by herself. This time, she got smarter, she cut and threw some of her hair in the dustbin, as quoted by Justin who saw the incident. But I found some hair strands on the floor, some as long as 4 inches!!! But mostly are quite short…

So, are you interested to see her new hairdo? Here it is…

Yeap, there goes 25% of her fringe.

I’m not going to bring her for another hair cut as our photo shooting session in Phuket (not cancun) is just 2 weeks from now. I shall try to tie the back, to cover the unevenness, and comb her fringe to a side to hide that spot.

Cute or not? New fashion…

Hopefully, she can still look good in photos!

Preparation for Phuket

I’m looking forward to our trip to Phuket and I’m going to get myself a nice tan this time. We will only be there for the weekend, but I know I will look very roasted after the trip!

I’m still yet to buy Isabelle a new swimsuit, since she’s grown up quite a lot and a new pair of bikini for myself. Maybe I will skip the bikini since I still don’t know how to lose belly fat without exercising. :P What to do, lazy la…

Isabelle’s Money Sense

We went to a travel fair last Sunday and bought some hotel stay vouchers. Since most booths preferred cash, hubby and I were running out of cash after some travel shopping. So, we told the kids it’s time to go home because papa and mommy had no money already. Before that, we promised to go out for dinner, but since we were out of money, I joked that we had to go home. :P

Then Isabelle said, “Papa, you no more money? Then you go home and get money la. Then we come out and go gai gai again.”

Wah seh, she really thinks we stay at the bank. LOL!

Hubby went to the ATM to get some cash. When he’s back in the car…

Isabelle: Papa, you got money already?

Papa: *joking* No woh, no more money already.

Isabelle: Then you go BUY money la. Why didn’t you  BUY money?

Wah seh, we can just BUY money. How ah? LOL!

Since young, Isabelle knows the importance of money because money can buy her new shoes, new toys, new dresses and etc. Anything she wants can be bought with money but she doesn’t know where it comes from. If only money can come as easy as she thinks, then mommy can shop everyday for all the things she wants, including changing the Grohe faucets even if she doesn’t need one.

Please Let It Be Winter

I want to sing,”Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow” but it’s impossible to have snow in Bangkok! Nonetheless, I hope that winter is here, and it’s quite nice waking up to cool windy weather. It’s still windy this morning, and it took me more than 15 minutes to get out of bed. :P So nice to sleep in la…

I guess if you stay in metal buildings, the walls should feel freaking cold at night. LOL! If it’s still windy and cool at night, we don’t need air-conditioning or fan at night. Just open the windows will do. How nice….

Loy Krathong

It’s Loy Krathong yesterday, and if you are interested to know more about it, read here.

There were fireworks everywhere and the kids were so thrilled to see the pretty sky and the full moon. They were given krathongs at school, but by the time we reached home in the evening, their krathongs were slightly damaged. :P The flowers fell out and Justin broke his candle.

The kids fixed their krathong at the krathong stall, which offered them some nails. SIL knows how to make the krathong, so she showed the kids how to pin their flowers nicely in place on the banana tree trunk and bread.

They just sat on the mat by the street and busy fixing their krathongs. So concentrating…

See their happy faces! Kids are always proud of their work. LOL!

A family portrait is a must on this special day.

It’s our first loy khathong so it’s a memorable experience to us. I shall treasure this photo, which is nicely taken and hide my flabby body part well. LOL! Ya la ya la, I need to get lose weight already, no need to remind me. :P Let me check out the diet pill reviews first. That’s what you’ll get after a month of holiday….:P

Anyway, after everyone got their krathong, we walked over to the riverbank.

Our krathong, which we hope will bring us good luck! That’s what loy krathong is all about mah…

Just make your prayers by holding your krathong. Make sure that you lid the joss sticks and candle too. But it was so windy last night, I couldn’t light on the candle and had to release my krathong without the light.

Isabelle’s releasing her krathong.

I know that it’s a bit too late, but happy Loy Krathong!

And oh ya, I think winter is here….It’s so windy and cool today. :)
