Wordless Wednesday: Some photos taken at Central World…

Father’s Day

Father’s Day falls on 5th December in Thailand, and our kids had a mini concert at their school yesterday. Both kids were very excited about it, and with 3 mini concerts per school year,  they already well trained to perform well on stage, without any stage fright or what-so-ever. In fact, I really admire the teachers’ dedication and effort in training the kids 3 times a year for the mini concerts. It’s a lot of hard work! Besides preparing the kids, they had to decorate and set up the mini stage on the metal tiles of the school canteen each time. Seriously, I don’t have the patience of being a preschool teacher!

The night before. Justin even asked all of us to sleep in early so that we could get up early and reach school in time. :) He’s really one responsible boy. LOL!

Since MIL is here, we invited her to come along.

As usual, the kids are always happy to see their grandparents.

She’s not only here for the kids’ performance, she’s here to see her son giving a speech too. LOL!

Hubby was picked by the teachers as a “good” father. LOL! They said he’s very close to the kids, so they wanted him to share how he helps to take care of the kids at home. I have no idea what his speech is all about, he was speaking in Thai + English, but mostly in Thai. Yeap, he’s very good in Thai now.

Besides dances, the kids presented handmade gifts to their fathers. Like previous years, this was done in Thai ritual.

Justin’s showing respect to daddy and presenting his gift.

Daddy and his gal.

The mini concert ended before noon and by the time we got to the car, both kids were very tired and Zzz….

I would like to wish all fathers in Thailand a very Happy Father’s Day, and happy birthday to the King.

MIL is Here

Hubby’s mom is here for a few weeks, so my kids are thrilled to be pampered by popo. Some times, I do pity my kids that they can’t see their grandparents or other family members as frequent as they used to, but then they still manage to get some visits once in a while. With MIL here to cook for us occasionally, I will be temporarily retiring from “chu fan po” especially during the weekdays. Yippie!

Since my oily kitchen is closed for the moment, my housekeeper will only be here once a week. So far so good la, hubby is still helping out in the house. :P But if I really beh tahan, I might want her to be back for twice a week after MIL leaves. Hopefully, she will still be able to come by then, but as far as I’ve known, these housekeepers will faster slot in another new house when they have free time. So, fat chance la…

Anyway, the sale. So, it’s time to get something for Justin on his birthday, and get some new books or toys for the kids during Christmas. I’m not sure what to get yet, but I will try my best to be FRUGAL!
