Daddy’s Away & A Funny Phone Call

Today’s the first day of me being a one-leg-kick mom again, and hubby is going to be away for a week. He has something urgent to be settled in M’sia, so it’s a last minute decision. I’m supposed to have a dinner with some expat friends here tomorrow, but I can’t make it this time. Thanks for offering your driver, but really very mah fan la… :P

This morning, both kids got up early without any fuss. They took their breakfast obediently while I prepared their fruit bentos. Even if hubby is not around to help out, we still managed to leave home early, despite the rain, and got to school very early!!!

Justin wanted to join the music band, so he has to reach school at 8am these days. It’s going to be very tiring for all of us, but he’s very determined to learn the melodian. What to do? Be supportive loh…Actually, the band will perform at a kiddie music festival in February. However, we can’t make it that weekend. We will be away to Koh Chang, but Justin still wants to join and learn. He’s very keen in participating in extra activities, so let him take part la…

Without hubby around, I will be busier at home, and the kids promised to be very good. I already told them that TV is allowed on weekdays so that I can cook without worrying much. If no TV, the kids might be running outside without my guidance, so better just let the idiot box babysit them for awhile la. :P I will most probably be at the office instead of staying at home this time, unless there isn’t much to do next week.

BTW, I just want to blog about a funny phone call…

I got this phone call twice just now, but I have no idea what the speaker was talking about. He’s looking for me, I know my name la ok? But I seriously dunno him. So, I just hung up the first time. He called again a few minutes later, and I still told him that “di chan mai kao jai kun phuk arai” (I don’t understand what are you talking about”. but that fella still kept on talking.

So, I passed my phone to SIL. She asked the caller what’s the matter, and the caller said he’s looking for me. Then, my SIL said “who are u?” I guess he mentioned something, and his age. Then, SIL asked, “do you know how old is Amy? She’s 30s you know?”

OMG! Apa ini? Need to tell my age? LOL! The whole office laughed like hell, and that fella immediately hung up the phone.

You know what? I got myself a teenage admire, who has my number from dunno where, and called to talk to me. Siao leh? LOL!
