Art and Craft

Isabelle loves painting and art. It’s a good way to keep her away from the TV, when she’s busy creating her “masterpieces” with the paints. It is quite messy but I found that it’s a great activity. Besides that, she loves play dough. I let her play once a while, but not always. I found that play dough is even messier than painting!

With their summer holiday coming soon, I will start stocking up some washable paints and play dough at home to keep the kids occupied. I wonder if they are ready for clay art? There are some children classes here, but I have never thought of enrolling them. Maybe I can let them try the children clay, which is something I found at AMACO/Brent. You can find a lot of clay, slump molds and pottery supply here, and if you kids are older, you can also check out majolica glazes. I found that they are quite an interesting art for older children, if it’s done under adult supervision.

For a start, a self harden clay will be more suitable for my kids, and I think I saw it somewhere here in Bangkok. I better drop by the art and craft section again and see if I can find one, before I purchase it online.
