Private Post

As you know, I have a “policy” of “hiding” my kids from being over exposed in this blog once they are 4 years old. That’s the reason why I blanked out Justin’s face in most photos and I’ll do the same for Isabelle soon.

Most of the recent photos in FB will only be shared among some family members and blogger friends whom I’ve known for years. Did you miss the kids’ concert in March? Do check it out!

For “newcomers” or those that I can’t see anything in your FB profile, sad to say that I won’t share the photos with you, as there is nothing to be shared from you too. :P

Again, I’m not being rude, but there is a time when a kid’s privacy has to be protected. I can’t be there for my kids 24/7 and with them spending more time away at school and activities, it’s best to keep them “private” until they are old enough to decide that they would like to “show their faces” openly to the world again. Oh well, if you bump across those teenagers blogs or FB, you would know what I mean!

So, I will email the new password for private post again. Sorry for any “inconvenience” caused.

PS & Gameboy

Hubby and I disagreed on getting the kids any PS or gameboy for the kids, at least not now. So whenever our kids see other children playing one, they will be all curious and can’t stop watching the games. So far, they haven’t ask to try any.

But one day, Justin found out some games in hubby’s phone and he loves playing them. We only have those boring games in our cellular phones, but the kids sort of like them.  Of course, hubby won’t let them play much, just in case the kids might accidentally delete some data in his phone while they are browsing through it. LOL

I guess we can’t delay this any long. Maybe we should get a gameboy for Justin on his 6th birthday.

He Loves Ironing

Does you husband help out in house chores? I must say that I’m one of the lucky ones who has a good helper at home. He has to help as he’s the one who doesn’t want to have a live in maid. He thinks that a maid will invade his privacy. Maybe he can’t walk around without a top anymore, or go to the bathroom without locking the door (you know, just in case someone bumps in?), or whatever reason it is.

Hubby helps in ironing, and I’ve mentioned this a million times in my blog. It’s not that he can do a good job in ironing. In fact, I iron quite well. I used to do it when we stayed in Ipoh, before having a maid. But since he volunteered, I would be glad to share some responsibilities with him. If he didn’t do a good job, and if I can’t “swallow his work”, I might redo it if time permits.

But with his limited time spent at home, he doesn’t really have much time in ironing. I can buy him a bundle of working shirts and pants, or get a few more sets of uniform for the kids, but he won’t agree to that. So, what he will do is…

  • He set the alarm clock to 6am or earlier and if he can get up that hour, he will do the ironing in the early morning. But most of the time, he will just let the clock buzz every 5 minutes until the wife wakes up and smashes the clock *ok, a bit dramatic*
  • He will put the kids to sleep (we do this together if he’s around). Take a short nap, and wake up around 11pm to do the ironing.

Most of the time, it’s me to wake him up as I don’t sleep that early. I would get up to prepare some bento, get online, or watch some movies, so I would ask him if he wants to get up or get back to sleep. So this poor thing will get up in blurry eyes, get downstairs and start ironing if he managed to push “chao gong” away. Sound very cham huh? Sleep also interrupted.

Thus, I came up with 2 solutions:

  • I found a laundry shop near my office and I can just send the clothes there for ironing. SIL has been doing this for some time, even if she has a live in maid. Her maid takes 2 hours to iron a shirt, thus it’s best to send to laundry. Since she highly recommended it, it should be good.
  • My part time cleaner has a friend who does ironing. She can come with her twice a week to iron my clothes, and I found that this is a better option due to my laziness of bringing a buckle of clothes and hangers out twice a week.

Hence, I arranged to get the part time “iron woman” in. BUT!!! The night before she came, hubby found out about my plan and he asked me to cancel it. He was away for days when I did the arrangement, and I thought it’s just a small matter that I can decide on my own. I have only thought of lightening his “burden”.

Manatau, hubby thinks that he will have another stranger in the house, and it’s a bad idea. *roll eyes* So, how about option 1 where the wife sends out the clothes?

He said “no”. So mah fan. O.o

This is something I must jot down. He said…”Ironing is quite fun.

Yeap, FUN. LOL! He will only spend one or 2 hours every time for ironing so he can handle it.

First time I heard someone who actually enjoys ironing. What a dinosaur.

When I Grow Up…

I try to send the kids back home after their activities at summer camp, instead of going back to the office with me. So, it’s easier for me to get dinner ready in time, and the kids can play with their friends at the playground too.

Yesterday, while we were in the car, right after entering our gated neighborhood, I saw a young man, with blond hair (probably bleached and dyed it) sitting on the bench in the community garden playing his guitar, IN THE HOT EVENING SUN!

So, I told the kids…

Me: Children, you see the guy? He’s sitting in the hot sun playing guitar *frankly, the mommy thought this is amusing, since it’s so sunny hot, and he looks like one of those character in “Cheong Yao’s” movie*

Isabelle: Wah, so hot la…I don’t want to sit there. Why he has white hair? He’s an old woman?

Me: No Belle, should be old man, he’s a boy. LOL!

Justin: No la, he’s very HANDSOME.

Me: O.o Handsome?

Justin: Ya, when I grow up, I want to be like him.

Me: O.o

I can’t remember why we didn’t continue this conversation, maybe we almost reached home and I was getting down to push the gate. But I was wondering if he meant he wanted to DYE HIS HAIR WHITE like that. Wah seh, so IN ah my boy?

So at bedtime, I told hubby about the conversation we had with our kids…

Hubby: What? He said he wanted to be like him when he grows up?

Me: Ya woh, not sure what he means, you better ask him if he likes to have such fashionable hair. :P

Justin: No, I mean I want to play the guitar like him when I grow up. Sitting there and play guitar.

Hubby and I couldn’t help laughing, maybe it’s quite funny seeing someone sitting in the garden playing guitar, as if he’s filming for some romantic movies. LOL!

Me: What about his hair? I thought you want his white hair?

Justin: No la, I don’t want to do that to my hair. I just want to play guitar like him.

I guess my boy thinks that playing guitar in the open is quite cool. Ok la, Justin, go learn guitar next time, and play in the garden. Let’s see if any girls think you are cute or you are acting silly. LOL!

More Assignments

It’s been awhile since I last cash out from Paypal, and I’ve just realized that USD has dropped so much. :(

But luckily, I’ve received sightly more assignment this week, so maybe sikit sikit can jadi bukit la. LOL! I’m only working for one network now, and cannot be bothered about the rest. No time to build more blogs, and also no time to catch any ads. If this network continues to be so generous, even if I have to write about Mesothelioma Cancer 10 times a month also never mind. If you give, I’ll take. No complains. LOL!

So, has the sh*riff been visiting you too?

TV All Day

My kids love it when daddy is away because they can have more TV. I can’t be too strict about it now since it’s their summer holiday. The first thing they do in the morning is, wake up, get showered and changed, go downstairs and turn on the idiot box. Of course, they can only do this because hubby is away, and they love to take their breakfast while watching Playhouse Disney. I found that it’s a good idea for them to do so too as it’s showing Little Einstein and Word World, which are great for kids.

Justin told me that they have to be at school at 8.30am, but what the h*ck la, it’s summer camp only mah. We will only leave home around that time, after Word World. :P Besides that, hubby will be going to work on his own very early in the morning, so he cannot interfere also. hahahahhaha

Come on la, give the kids a break. They are spending the whole day at school, and by the time we reach home, it’s already in the evening. Of course, they will glue to the TV again for Ben 10 and Batman or whatever as it’s Justin’s time to pick, while mommy is preparing dinner. I can’t just let them go play by themselves mah. Later got accident or what, then how? Hubby cannot complain too as he is the one who doesn’t want to have a nanny at home to watch the kids, so he better shuts up and let the TV do the babysitting job. :P

Anyway, it’s summer holiday. I shall cut down the TV time again when school reopens.

Gee…can I have one of those plasma tv stands and a flat screen TV in the kitchen? I have never had time for TV!

My Job

Franky, I don’t know much about my job description because there isn’t any! Taking over hubby’s job is like swimming aimlessly in the sea, trying to look for a float, but there isn’t any. Sigh…

My sales staff is here for almost a week, and she looks OK. I’m not sure how much she is coping as she can’t speak much English. So I only TALK to her when I want something to be done. :P So far, the older staff is guiding her well. He better passes everything nicely to her before he leaves! I even urged them to start visiting the customers, which are located in Sukhumvit, by ignoring those stupid RED protesters. Our biz can’t wait for some stupid morons who are congesting traffic somewhere in the city. Those who work in Sukhumvit can tell you that the condition there is not that bad 2 days ago. I dunno why the news sound so scary back home.

Hubby’s coming home tonight, and I guess he’s coping well as well. He will have a chance to visit a few nice hotels in this new job, how jealous la me. LOL! I wonder how his office furniture looks like? I have only went to his work place to pick him up that day, but didn’t walk in. Cannot walk in liao because it’s not our biz. :P

Away again

Hubby flew to Phuket this morning, and he will be back after 3 days. It’s his first week at his new work place, but the GM is handling over as quick as possible because he’s going back to his home country soon. Partly it’s also hubby’s fault la, the new boss offered him a job last month, but he was dilly-dally-dunno-why reluctant to accept earlier and also delayed in turning up. :P

So right now, he orr si also mein tak han. Busy tou sei. He probably needs colon cleansing soon. LOL!
