What Tai Tai?

I watched Desperate Housewives the other night, and I remembered well that Gabby said her children are her careers. To most homemakers, we quit our jobs to be there for our kids, and some might think that it’s a tai tai life where you don’t have to do anything but shopping and rotting. Friend, let me tell you this, being a stay-at-home mother or a homemaker is way much BUSIER and STRESSFUL than a working life.

If you kids do well, others might think that you are a good mother and you are doing a good job. If they are not performing well, some might say, hey, what this mother is doing huh? Passing the job to the maid la, must be, and bla bla bla. It’s hard to be Bree, the almost-perfect woman. Nonetheless, she admitted that she’s not the perfect mother.

So, even if most of us don’t own a full time job, we are still WORKING by the clock being a mother. Better stop thinking that all of us are Tai tai, even if I’m dying to be one.
