Blog in a mess

Someone said this blog cannot be loaded, but I can see my blog here. There is some error, and my webmaster is trying to fix it now. Not sure what has gone through, but it has only recently updated to the latest WP. Oh well, as long as you can still see it, it won’t be too bad gua…. :P

I don’t have much time to blog anyway, except writing for diet pills, reviews, craps, and rants. :P

I dare not tell anyone I was once a vivid blogger. LOL!

Schooling Issues

I thought I can rest my mind after the kids started school, manatau, in less than a month since the school started, I have to deal with a couple of issues already.

Firstly, Isabelle complained that she’s been hit by a gal and 2 boys keep asking to fight with her at school. For those who’s in my FB might already know about this. I went to school to “settle” it, talked to the teachers and the kids involved. The issue rested for a few days, but yesterday, she came home telling me that she’s been hit by the same girl again. This girl is like a bully in the class, ganged up with the other 2 bigger boys and go against Isabelle. Wah lau leh, 4 years old only mah, why so “gangsters” in class? Isabelle said the teachers did ask her to apologize, but I think the girl is not getting the message!!! Bullying is bad. She told Isabelle not to go to school. D*mn.

Thank god I have a strong headed girl who knows how to “handle” this issue. She didn’t fight back, but she did shout at them. LOL! Hubby went to school to talk about this issue today, and I will talk to the teachers again after school. Frankly, if the girl persists to be like this, I will request to talk to her mom. Hitting is something kids learn from home, mostly. I’m not running into conclusion, but if her don’t listen to the teachers, I hope that the mom can help.

Next is, I hate the junk food stall located at the school. Most kids buy junks after school, so I know that my kids are tempted as well. I only allow them to bring some pocket money on Fridays, while the rest of the days, I will pack them bentos. Not that I totally against junks, but I feel that kids that young can’t differentiate good food from bad, and they don’t understand much about the value of money.

But then, there is this boy, a good friend of Justin, who brings A LOT of money to school everyday. He is so generous, he BUYS JUNKS for every kid, as long as he can pay for them. Sigh…Justin is good, he refuses his offer. But my Isabelle, sigh….she is totally lured by the temptation. Luckily, she tells me that she eats if she does, so I’m still in progress of “brainwashing” her.

Another issue is, Justin’s teachers said he’s quite good in class, and they suggested that he may skip K3. That means if he passes the Primary 1 assessment, he can go straight to Primary 1. I’ve never known that his Thai is par or even stronger than most Thai kids. I thought he is slow in Thai language. :P

But after talking to him, he’s reluctant to leave his friends in his class. After almost a month in K3, he has 2 best buddies there, and he is quite close to them. There is this boy called Pan Pan who cried a lot during the first few days at school, but the teacher told me Justin “took good care” of him, and they always sit together. I heard a lot about the boy from Justin after school. I know that schooling is not only about academic, the kids are learning social skills too.

So, I don’t think I will let him sit for the assessment, which the teachers are confident that he can make it. Sorry ya boy? Next time, please don’t blame mommy for not “pushing you harder” in school. :P

Let him be in another year in Kindergarten. I can’t see the need of him finishing school faster, if he chose to stay with his friends now.

On the other hand, I have been pretty busy, and some times, I almost forgot to pick up the kids. I reached school quite late, but luckily the teachers watch them for me. There was a day when Isabelle just totally knocked out in the car because she’s too exhausted. :P

Yesterday, both kids fell asleep when I was cooking, one on the floor and another one on the sofa. Aiyo…really pity them. The good point is, they don’t have a lot of homework, so they can still relax in the evening, and we will do some homeschooling at night. I think the school hour is too long for kids, and they are not allowed to take nap. But what to do? That’s school life here. :P

Can’t wait for the next school holiday, and if hubby is able to take a few days off, I will bring them for a trip. All of us deserve to have one. It’s been a while since our last atv racing, beach fun, rotting in the hotel room and etc. We shall do all in October!

Wedding Insurance

To me, planning for a wedding is a lot of work. That’s why we have wedding planners and it’s best to let the expert do all the job. I really admire those who can plan an oversea wedding, such as those held in Bali or some pretty island. I’m not sure if they did all the planning by themselves, but if it’s me, I will surely hire a wedding planner for it! That is too much work. :P

Nowadays, you can also get wedding insurance to further secure your wedding, just in case something goes wrong on your big day, and with a wedding insurance, maybe you will be compensated. Even overseas wedding insurance is available too.

I think getting a good photographer is the most important aspect in a wedding. I didn’t know much about this last time, so my wedding day photos are pretty boring. I can’t even remember the last time I saw that album! I hope that it’s still around in the our Ipoh house. LOL!

Pink bedroom furniture

Some part of my garden, especially the spots surrounding the house is sinking. So our neighbor is hired to fill in the gap with soil and patch the surrounding walls with concrete and tiles to avoid it from getting worse. Thus, the garden looks like a mess now, and there goes the green grass and some plants too.

Isabelle is very unhappy about it. She said she doesn’t like to stay in a “dirty” house. The soil and dirt have obviously bothered her a lot, she asked daddy to buy her a new house. LOL! She said she wanted pink bedroom furniture, a nice garden for her pet dog and rabbit (which of course might not come true soon) and all the nice dining room furniture like those we saw in show houses. Just like her mother, she likes to visit show houses! LOL!

Like usual, hubby ignored her request on the bedroom furniture. Hubby said she will have to sleep on her own, if she wants a new pink room.

Our little princess thought about it for a while and came to this decision, “Ok la, I will stay in this dirty house.” LOL!

Shopping for memory foam mattress

What I like about Bangkok is it’s a shopping heaven. Not only that there are a few good places to shop, there are a lot of great fairs throughout the year where you can get great bargains and good deals. We bought most of our household and furniture at these fairs now, and most of the items are sold at much cheaper price as comparing to the stores.

Too bad I missed the BIH and BIG sales again this year, so let’s forget about getting a new set of memory foam mattress for the kids. It’s not urgent, so we can wait. Things like bedsheets, memory foam mattress toppers, pillows and etc can be easily bought at these fairs. I think I’ve seen memory foam mattress selling there at previous years, but you really need to have time and patience to go through all the booths looking for the things in your shopping list.

Don’t worry about the quality. It’s the SAME thing, SAME brand, and SAME design, but selling at much cheaper price at these fairs. Don’t ask me why. To me, that it’s a bonus to shoppers!

Good night sleep on mattress

Both kids can’t take nap at school anymore, so they go to bed very early these days. By 8.30pm, I would urge them to go in the room, lying down on the mattress for some reading and some times, they will doze off before I finish the book! The teachers said Isabelle dozed off a few times during her extra classes and I said it’s ok for her to take a short nap when she’s tired. She sleeps at the table, with her face on the work. :P That’s why tiring it is for her, considering that she used to have nap before school starts.

Something good about kids going to bed early is, I have more free time for myself. If I’m not too tired, I would watch some series in the room, lying down on the mattress for an hour or two. But on most days, I would go to bed early too. I don’t need a memory foam mattress to get a good night sleep now as I’m drop dead tired!

Multilingual Playground

My kids play at the playground almost everyday. Most of the time, they will be there with their Indian friends from Bombay. They moved here a few months ago, and since then, the kids became good friends when they are not fighting. :P

Some times, there are a few Thai kids playing at the playground too, and I found something really interesting yesterday.

There were 5 or 6 children, including Malaysian (Justin and Isabelle) who speak English and Thai, Indians who speak English and Hindi, and Thais who speak Thai and some English. All of them played and talked to each other in the most complex and rojak language I’ve never heard. LOL!

The Thais were struggling with English, while the Indians were speaking in English + Hindi and my kids used different languages to different kids. Too bad they can’t speak Hindi. Hahahaha!

And when kids are excited, they use such high pitch and loud voice in speech, it’s quite hard catching what they are talking about. However, the children didn’t seem to have any problem in speaking to one another.

It’s quite amazing seeing how kids interact.

Wanna P***

I hate taking supplements, especially swallowing pills of vitamins. I have to force myself to take some occasionally to finish off the stock piling up in my cupboard. :P

I took 3 tablets from Amway Double X just now and now, I feel sick. I feel like puking and so drowsy, I have tears in my eyes!

That’s why I hardly buy any food supplements, including beauty pills, vitamins and beverages. Mind you, I’ve tried quite a few but all make me wanna puke. :P

I guess I can only stick to eating normal food, use skincare products like prevera and get more sleep if possible to stay healthy.

Aiyo, how am I going to spend my morning? I really feel like I’ll be throwing up soon.
