LED

We have 2 hallways in our condo, and even if the place is small in total, there are a lot of florescent lights along the hallways. I’m thinking about switching the lighting to led to cut down on electric bill. We are paying more now as comparing to our old landed house because we use more air-conditioning and turning on more lights at the condo! Furthermore, the monthly maintenance fee is more expensive than our previous gated community.

Let me see if I can get a good pricing from BIL’s LED company. :P

Pattaya Again

We had a great time in Pattaya for the past 3 days, and I’m so surprised with the amount of fun a kid can have at Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort. The pools are great, so kids can easily spend the whole afternoon there without leaving. Nonetheless, the kids room is not free and they charge a small amount of fee per hour.

We ate out mostly, and I had lots of seafood! Even if we didn’t have barbeque buffet by the beach with milwaukee tool and grill, but the food at those restaurants are great. I’m so going back there again. I’ve been to Pattaya numerous times, but I still haven’t done trying out the good food there.

Photos had been uploaded in Facebook, so do check them out.

Bersih 3.0

I’m tempted to attend Bersih 3.0 in Bangkok, but if I go, I will have to drag the kids along. I asked the gal if she’s willing to join me but she’s totally clueless about it. All she knows is she has a yellow tee and she has to wear it. LOL

I haven’t made up my mind because hubby is not keen to go, and I would have to grab the cab. Furthermore, kids have some activities on Saturday morning. By the time I reach the city, I wonder who’s still there?

I only dare to attend it in Bangkok but not in KL. The one in Dataran Merdeka should be the biggest national cycle event of Bersih 3.0 but know the consequences of 708, and with kids along, it doesn’t sound like a good idea for me to join. Ok la, I kiasi.

Nice place

I’ve just found a nice dining place this morning, it’s the same place I booked my gal’s cake! The setting and ambient should be nice at night, but it was too sunny in the morning.

There should be a live band at night, so I hope that they play jazz music with Guild Guitars. It’s nice to dine at a place with great music and nice vocal!

I noticed that there are a lot of great dining in my area, but we hardly have time for dining out now.

back with loads

We went back with a medium sized luggage of clothes and an empty big luggage, but we came back with almost 80kgs of stuffs, including 2 more smaller bags and some boxes. LOL! We didn’t get to use the north face backpacks because I prefer the wheeled hand luggage, which I kept my camera, laptop and the kids’ jackets.

Hubby wanted to bring back our wedding photos, so we brought 2 frames back. One was broken into pieces since it’s a glass frame, but the photo is fine. We shall hang them up soon.

Still reno-ing

The condo is 90% completed, except the kitchen and the living room. I’m still waiting for the stove, hood, and the tiles to to be stalled, and probably see what I can do with the existing single bowl undermount sink. The workers came for a few days beginning of the month and off they went for Songkran holiday, which lasted more than 2 weeks! Then, they told me that they will return this week, but I haven’t seen their shadows. I’ve just returned last night anyway.

Shopping at duty free

Initially, I thought of shopping for some skincare products at both airport since most products are duty free and cheaper, but I didn’t seem to have any time to even browse around! On our departure at Suvarnabhumi Airport, we went for lunch and there was a long queue at the passport control. By the time we entered King Power, I only have less than 10 minutes before boarding! Hubby refused to let me shop and rushed me to the boarding gate. :P

Then at KLIA, we didn’t have time at arrival as the taxi was waiting. And on departure, we went makan again and were expected to be at the boarding gate even earlier. Apa ini…

Actually, I had more time to shop if I would to fly with AirAsia or some other airline which I can do self checked in. But if the counter for luggage check in is closed or slow, I won’t be having much time either.

There goes my H2Ohydrator, Lamer and others.

Online shopping

It’s nice shopping online as I can do it during office hour. I hardly turn on my laptop at home, but using the phone instead. But it’s different when it comes to online shopping. It’s best done on bigger screen.

I’ve been eying on a set of ecolon pots, which I’m not sure if I should order them now since we haven’t made a plan of going back. Then, I went to check out the swimsuits and lingerie corsets at VS, as we are going to the beach during the school break. And I’m checking out all sorts of bags, bento stuffs, skincare and etc online. I’m an online freak, no doubt.

Please dun tell me you are afraid of online shopping, I will ROTLMAO.

Dell vs Mac

Surprisingly, my Dell notebook is still working well after years. *touch wood*

Some time ago, I thought of getting a Macbook Pro. Then, my sales staff has one, and he’s using it at our work place. I dunno why, some times, he has problem opening some files, even if his is running on 2 operating system. And some times, a nice edited work file will be wrongly aligned when he receives it and he has to redo the type. *slap head*

After seeing how cham he is, I sort of delaying my purchase. And so far, Dell is still alright. *touch wood again*.

Our New House

Content by Kyle Lowe

My husband and I are moving next week, so things are crazy around here. We are in the middle of packing and making sure our new house is ready for us to move into, while still working our full time jobs. We are finishing up renovations and they have to be done because our lease on our apartment is up. We thought the renovations would take less time, but things kept on going longer and longer. Contractors have a way of getting off schedule, so we’ll probably have to keep on making repairs after we move in. We are excited, but still worried about all that we need to get done. I still haven’t packed all of my things, and we also need to connect our clear wireless internet service in the new house. I can’t wait until this is all over and we are all settled in. It will be so nice to know that we are finally in a house that we own. I am so glad we won’t have to move again for a very long time!
